Any update?
Of course not... On the Discord channel, they show some screen shots of a miner but of course not video of a working model....

what is this "brake pedal" you speak of?

Yeah, its this whole propritary "bitstream" thing that turns me off to these for the most part. That and the overhyped and underdelivered software. And I was so close to wanting to believe in this...
Proprietary bitstreams? Wait are you upset about how bitstreams work in general or do you not understand that anyone can release a bitstream for the devices? once additional reason for getting fpgas was something to learn and possible code for. and as such devices come on line there will be more coders writing bitsteams for them. i figure in about 10 years i will be good enough to make a led blink on a fpga dev kit. also gpuhoarder mentioned currently there are not a lot of fpga coders out there. and the money for their time is not worth it for proprietary stuff compared to a 4% dev fee times 5000 bcu, maybe a thousand cvps, and another thousand vcu. in short, right now its generally more profitable to release for the allmine shell at 4%

I figure that bistreams will end up being sold, it's about that hardware circulation. The more hardware in the hands of users the more that individual bitstream will be in demand. I figure it will be like how Wolf0 sold bins. agreed. private bitstreams will be for sale, most likely to anyone who wants it. ie no (or very very few) one off totally custom super bitstreams that only large farms will get. those private bitstreams for sale to the general public will be better than the public ones, at least at the start. so depending on the farm loadout it may be worth it. i never had enough gear to make gpu private miners pay off although i never looked into it that much.

The Acorn CLE? Yeah I have a 215+ almost everyone has received theirs I'm pretty sure. The issue is waiting for more bitstreams and the SQRL miner that has the GPU acceleration. Right now we are just waiting TL;DR it's available for purchase and in stock but isn't usable.

No rumors of a lawsuit for lack of a miner to be provided. ( I meant mining software )
They had all those acceleration numbers posted in June or July.
They never demo'd an acorn and no proof that an acorn could do those claims.
I feel lawsuits are coming.
To be fair if the gear can do as claimed maybe ohGodaGirl fucked him hard and is refusing to give him the software to make it so.
I think she wanted more money for that software he said no and figured they could write it. So far a real beating to those that purchased the gear.
My thanks to mfurman and his constant attacks on discord I know he is why I bailed out and saved myself 800 usd.
I wonder how many others bailed due to his constant questioning.
Hats off to mfurman!
Hey if ohGodaGirl is holding up the software someone can email me so I will know it is true.

I am still positive about the miner release. But for the performance numbers I have no clue if it would hold up. The sad thing is all this while status on SQRL miner was -> when Acorns are done and delivered. Now, it's been a month that's happened and no news on miner just some teasers. No benefit to early adopters

It is why I think that ohGodaGirl may be the villainess and not squirrels. But all I am doing is guessing an explanation as to why they don't have software and never proved software works. I bailed when mfurman asked over and over and over for software and was treated poorly. kudos to him I hope he got multiple people to bail. I also hope oHGodaGirl is the villainess and that someone gets new working software for this gear. Good luck to all of you waiting .

No benefit to early adopters What are you going to do if they release it and you find out that the performance numbers are just bogus??? I understand the concept and at least there will be power savings if not hashrate boost. Optimizations will take time and might lag behind the gpu only miners. btw quote from discord, GPUHoarderToday at 19:38 I haven’t been very active in here because it has become troll infected (really? We’ve collected $20+M from people and shipped thousands of products, tried to go above and beyond at every chance we can, but we’re gonna pull a no-show scam at the last minute over a piece of software? For what? Couple hundred thousand in acorn sales? That doesn’t even cover a month of our team’s salary. Get out of here with that bull*hit. ) progress is good - there was IP involved in SQRL miner that was owned by Mineority, I can’t discuss that in detail (with all the legal action, it makes it really hard to give detailed updates) but I can say I believe that hurdle is cleared. Our favorite silly ZP miner got integrated into SQRL miner today. There are updated Linux drivers and Windows drivers in testing now. There will more updates and releases next week - no shut down here.

I agree. A group buy is hard enough to pull off but this turned into a hosting/bitstream/software business...And considering crypto will probably stay low for another year how long can he pay salaries, etc? Sad as Trump would say.
edit: Only person that can be trusted is w0lf but I dont know what he is up to, and he didnt seem involved in any way with ohgodagirl's shenanigans. He doesnt seem active anymore.

When it comes to me. I am the only one that can be trusted. Putting trust into another person that also only has their best interest is recipe for failure. As one can see it play out here. When push comes to shove. Money talks bullshit walks. Guess it’s time for me to change that back for my quote. Everyone walking away from crypto that was only here for the money. And look what’s left lol. Won’t be shit. Plus satoshi original vision of pow is flawed when we have unequal resources across the world. A system built upon greed has only one outcome. Just like cancer it canabalizes itself. Don’t be on a sinking ship!

I got mine. It was the CLE-101. With no GPU boost (I guess as a stand alone?) since no support yet , the Acorn runs 150MH/s with the one bitstream available running sorta worthless coin (correct me if Im wrong) Zen Protocol and for reference, the GTX 1070 Ti FTW2 I have in my gaming rig runs 890+ MH/s running CCminer

Either prove it can do what it originally was sold to do or start issuing refunds.
How much skin do you have in this game? Did you purchase Acorns or Nest cards? I have skin in the game and so do others here. Phil had skin in the game, requested a refund for the gear he ordered, and received it a while ago. Maybe not as fast as he would have liked, but he did receive a refund. Many others have done the same for Acorns, Nests, and BCUs. If you want a refund I'll bet that if you contacted SQRL support they'd refund your money. I opted to stick it out for basically the same reasons as vapourminer. I went in with my eyes wide open knowing that there were likely to be some hiccups along the way. That's almost always the case with pre-order hardware and software to power it. I'll take my lumps and bumps and see where things go when the bear market reverses Soon(TM). ^^^ Yes, this exactly. Lots of complaining from people who received refunds. Once your money is returned, I think that is the end of it. It hasn't been smooth sailing, but the Discord chatter is promising and hardware has been delivered. Is it on time? No. Is that much of a surprise in Cryptoville? No. You want to really piss yourself off, go deal with Obelisk.

No. You want to really piss yourself off, go deal with Obelisk. Well if you really want me to add it up. Let’s see I started in March of 2014 learning about mining etc. spent countless hours all nighters etc keeping up with this drama queen shit. Not to mention the money. A farm now that collects dust. Dectralized they said. My ass!! As usual it always filters to whoever has more resources. Everyone likes to tout that btc had a “fair” start. Bs. Only fair launch would be upon a world with equal resources. Every person on earth gets one machine. Yea I know I’m dreaming. But so are you to think this can ever work. So there! Anyway I have actual human effort spent on this. I don’t have more money than braincells that I can spend more than I can afford to lose. My situation is such than I can’t afford to lose any more than I got. This project failed me and countless others. Don’t be naive. It’s part of its design. Yes you will be on that list eventually. Mark my words BR
