for the official gpu boost software, not really. more waiting.

although it seems the cle-101 model is already obsolete and will not be supported. there will be some sort of trade up process.

of course that is my unofficial take. official emails will go out to all who bought stuff.

I am quickly becoming more and more cynical as news and updates are halted. I guess it doesn't matter much as the promises weren't being made regardless.

yeah me too. and im a pretty optimistic guy, but this is getting ridiculous. i was on the acorn discord yesterday. lotta what you said made sense.

gotta love the cle-101 end of life thing. obsolete before even being used for its original purpose. i have one too. so, basically, it looked to me like sqrl may come up with a "special edition" 215 (with reduced ram) for use in the trade up thing. so something below a standard 215. was that your takeaway too?

EDIT i have two 215+ and a 101.

Yeah, GPUH mentioned the step down dram batch but they're sending mixed messages saying they pulled their stock off of Amazon for upgrades. This doesn't make sense if GPUH has ordered a step down batch. Lims was pretty much avoiding discussing that and left it at "what you'll want to believe".

I think they pulled their Amazon stock for another reason but that's just me.

i wonder if they plan on taking existing 215 and 215+ stock and flash them to limit existing memory to some smaller value. quick way to made enough 101 replacement special edition 215s. sorta like disabling cores or cache in cpus to turn them into lower tier cpus when they didnt have any. no need for a special production run either. thats if they have enough extra 215/215+ models in stock.

i would love to have the number of 101s they need to replace.

Only bought 101's

ugh. that sucks.

This product is tested with motherboard Gigabyte GA-110H-D3A - with 6 GPU Cards & Acorn in M2 slot?
What is optimal choice Acorn M2 version for 6 GPU Cards in rig (3x1080 & 3xRX580) for optimal perfomance (various multi algo - mined coins on that rig is change every time)?

Absolutely not. That M2 is memory only, won't work. Check the specs on SQRL site, but the easiest thing to do is use an x16 to m2 adaptor, like the sqrl nests. However, this is all still speculation, as there is no software yet.

How does this FPGA help GPU's like gtx 1080ti to accelerate mining hashrate?

There are many different board shows in google I don't see what is this hardware exactly. Would you mine to guide me where I can build FPGA based mining rig with GPU?

I just planning to build in the future If ever this hardware is low noise as normal mining rig.

Solving blocks can't be solved without my rigs.

yeah anyone thinking of buying acorns just wait till the miner comes out to see what the real deal is.

BTW the emails offering to trade cle-101s up to 215 or 215+ has been sent. as the 101s are no longer supported.

if you did buy (or now somehow have) a cle-101 and did not get the email contact support@squirrelsresearch.com

Yes, I think I am one of the thousands of fools who got suckered in by SQRL and their FPGA hype. The only use I get out of my acorn is as an expensive paperweight.

not yet.

been rumors that the miner wont be out till the 101 tradein program is done. there were other rumors that the miner will be released, then the 101 trade in.

but seems the trade in is happening now, before the miner. i have my email from them, i elected to trade my 101 for a 215+

options were $15 for a 215, $35 to a 215+. add $20 for shipping. and they will be cross shipped. EDIT or not cant remember where i saw that.

haven't paid yet, just verified shipping addy and phone number.

strike that i now have an invoice and order number. they will give the payment addy later today.

Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice...  they should be upgrading for free.  ESP after the launch this company had.  Typical of crypto tho.   Now trying to save face because they knew the original device wouldn’t do what they purported them to do.  All theory.  They basically did sell you a paper weight.  They then used that money to build them the real product.  Aren’t we all tired of being made out as suckers yet???

i hear ya. but ive got around a grand tied up in acorms and nests, so whats an extra $55.

sure i think this is wrong on one level, the 101 upgrade should be free. and i thought there was going to be a special 215 model that the 101 could trade to. speced out somewhat under a standard 215.

i would have done it like so:

101 to "special edition" 215 - free, including free shipping.
101 to 215 and 215plus - ok add a bit for trades like that.

i think they (they = someone i have no remembrance of who or if they are connected to sqrl) said those who keep the 101s may have some sort of special, one time support algo boost on something but no later updates for it.

but again i just see bits and pieces from discord so take all that i say with a grain of salt.

once i have the upgraded part ill post.

and sure this reeks of some sort of exit strategy. but at least this is much more classy. for whats THATs worth.
