It is impossible to stop the ICO which then becomes a scam.
The maximum that we have the opportunity to do is to evaluate the ICO, idea, the team.
And such sites exist. And they often give a good evaluation of the scam, and a poor evaluation of projects that lists on good exchanges.
Unfortunately.

I agree that first of all we are determined to make money. And less look closely to the company. About 20% of scammers and we do not like to know about them until we are deceived.  Work with proven companies and all will be well.

The best thing we can do is improve our knowledge to recognize which ICO is scam. The reason why scam ICOs is still alive is still have lots of people invested on them. Those investors did not learning enough about that projects, so they were trapped. When all of we be smarter, scam ICOs wont be alive.

Every day we improve our knowledge about cryptocurrencies. But scammers also do not rest. They come up with more and more cunning schemes every day. I think that mutual assistance and notification of other people interested in cryptocurrencies is a step forward in the fight against fraud! Bitcointalk forum is a good place for this Wink

I think we should protect to issue scam ICOs in the crypto market. It creates misconception between new user and about market. What you think?
As a new user these things is inevitable for you not to know which it would really give hesitance once you heard it on some people who invested and lose out money because of these scammy ICO. The solution is not to completely stop since this is an impossible thing because the nature of crypto is anonymous and decentralized which anyone can launch whenever they do want. The solution would be this, if people doesnt tend to fund out a scam project sooner or later they would be gone but still they are rampant nowadays because they do continue on investing on it.

Investors must examine intensively the team and the idea of this icos before investing in them and if this investors finds something fishy to the team, they must alert the public or the other investors.

The best thing to kill the whole industry of scam ICO is simple - just dont give them money. Thats all.
If such projects will gain less money there will be less such ICOs in time. Only customer is responsible for such percentage of fraud in crypto imo

we can not unilaterally to stop the ICO scam project. It takes an influential person to stop that as well as support from the community. For now the best way to avoid ICO scam is to educate new users so they have enough knowledge to see objectively which ICO scam and which are not scam. I think ICO scam arose due to lack of such education.

Thats funny question because there is no way to stop all this as this world runs on the blockchain which is public leader and thus people can do whatever they want and open source anything they want.  Cheesy
We can not stop ICO from getting listed here because this forum itself is partially decentralised one and thus have no rights to stop them. We can however expose the scams here and then may be we can stop its operation from there onwards.
So pretty much we can minimise the risk but we cant really stop them getting formed and listed in the initial stages.

It is very difficult to detect a scam project, sometimes even an ICO scam is better than the actual ICO. Do not be fooled by cheap prices and huge profits, we have to be really good at choosing ICO and investing in it.

if there is a lawyer among us, we could try to file a collective lawsuit against some companies, maybe others will be scared.

The U.S. securities and exchange Commission (SEC) decided to teach investors to recognize fraudulent ICO on a practical example, so he launched his own Scam project! The purpose of which is to teach investors to choose the right projects and not to invest in scammers.

In fact, projects - scams will cease to exist only when investors get literacy! While investors in the market are illiterate and are ready to invest anywhere, scammers will use these!

No matter amount of measures in place to stop scam in the precious space we must also educate ourselves individually, do not buy ico for buying sake dig into the bottom of any ico then when you are assured about the credibility of the project, you can now Invest.

It is not in our hand to stop ICO launch as it beyond our limit. What we can do is we can raise awarness among mass so that they do not fall the victim of such scam. If no one go for this scam ICO it will be stopped automatically.

which I know we can not stop ICO's launching because I see a lot of people trying to protect ICO to get rid of fraud and so we have to help ICO not to stop so we can not stop the ICO project
