All these pool have a .1 transaction fee ... WTH with the current transaction rate.. That is just robbery.. why cant the pool operator see this and lower their fee.. with 6mh/s of power I can only mine about 3 AUR per day but the difficulty is increasing, so that already 3% in transaction fees alone.. what to speak of if my back-up pool has only .08 AUR in it...
Use P2pool. Choose node from here: http://aurp2pool.no-ip.org:8084/Yeah but I don't want to hold this coin.. hence I don't want to spend 8 hours downloading the blockchain for a wallet.. no thanks.. Won't take you more than 8 minutes to download wallet and chain. Or enter address from your favourite exchange. My internet is only 5mb/s and since already half of the coins have been mined thats a lot of blocks.. And exchanges don't like you to use their address for p2pools..

Is it just me or does it seem that all the pools are getting periodically DDoS'd ... wth
They're getting overloaded is more likely the case. Use p2pools. Choose node from here: http://aurp2pool.no-ip.org:8084/

How do you track your stats on crunchpool?
have a look at the active miners and payouts tabs, look for your address. wait for a few minutes after starting mining for your address to show up. also, given the fact that the pool has grown a lot, share diff is high so you'll get shares accepted once in a while only, not continously so that can make the stats vary a bit. But you're still getting the payouts that correspond to your work.

Do we know if the government will just ban this from use in Iceland. Is there any communication at all with them to ensure this wont happen?
At current prices, each citizen of Iceland will receive $760 worth of Auroracoin. I suspect that if a politician tried to ban it, they would find themselves rather unpopular VERY quickly. so the coin is basically a "bailout" or "gift" or charity for icelands citizens courtesy of a collection of miners and speculators from every other country besides iceland? Interesting project though. I ll continue to follow it albeit from the sidelines.

The idea sounds great, but and an OP with 32 posts holding 50 million coins saying don't worry I'll make sure everyone in the country gets some.
I got a bridge in Brooklyn for sale for 30 million premined auroracoins. Don't worry I'll make sure I distribute the coins to all the residents of Brooklyn evenly.

Check out the "expected time to block", that's about the time you will see some payments. You get credited/payed once the block get's solved and the pool finds another one. You can look for the last found blocks on the tab "Last Blocks". Tho the pool had some issues with trying to apply a patch, so it had a few mins of donwtime, now it seems they are back and working. I'm mining on that pool as well and got ammount payed to my wallet, waiting for it get confirmed.
