Regarding Arsenal, I thought they would win 3-0. I was a little mistaken

I just try to cut myself some slack most of the times. Predicting correct scores is a very difficult thing to do, even getting only a couple correct is quite good, when you get a close result for a couple more, that is a great job.

I hope a couple of tonight's matches take a different turn so I can win those.

City is a consistent team. They always have bad starts at the beginning of the season but in times they become more consistent. I am not worried about Arsenal at all. They will drop from the point table sooner or later.

It is simply the way City plays, Guardiola has a long bench and he is using it all the time. Beginning of the season that costs him points sometimes but he gets them back later on when he his squad is the only one not encumbered by fatigue. And let us not forget he is playing whole season without arguably the best creative midfielder in the world - De Bruyne.

I was thinking Manchester City would show some reaction this week after point losses over and over and I was thinking they would have a lopsided victory although the opponent was Aston Villa. However the match hasn't been the way I wanted. I'm terrible in this pool so far. From now on I think I don't have any chance to win a prize.

It's hard to spell your name mate, but its ok if you don't get notify for everything.

Good that you still got a bit of money even if you didn't bet your own, but it's a shame to miss out on wins like that just because odds weren't big enough.

Bookmakers are going to make City odds even "better" now though and more people will bet on it. I think this season is about somebody else though. For the first time, every big team has weaknesses ready to exploit.

I can't stand him. Sure, he gets into chances, I don't even mind that he misses so many.
But he's the epitome of a player I hate the most - a brainless idiot who doesn't understand anything about football and just runs into empty space and shoots with his eyes closed.

I cannot fathom that these people nowadays go for 60, 70, 80 mil euros. I live for the day we sell him.

Yes, it was not a value bet "before the game". But when I look at the statistics, I understand that Villa was undervalued:

Shots - 22:2
Shots on target – 7:2
Corners – 6:0

In fact, they simply destroyed City and the score 1-0 is a great success for the guests. As I heard throughout the game, only Haaland had one chance and nothing more.
I'm even more impatiently waiting for the tour to end and the bookmakers to update the quotes. It seems to me that we can already say that City were dethroned.

Without Mahrez and Gundogan, I believe this season would be quite different for them. They downgraded those positions with Nunes, Doku, and Kovasic

Exactly, and the fact that he's already making available about 6-7 different lineup combinations that are very competitive regardless their opponent is what give Man City the edge to have his usual 13-14 straight winning streak, or without losing. The festive season is fast approaching already, and that is when the essence of a great squad depth is most relevant. I wouldn't even say there is any cause for alarm for Man City to be honest, my only observation would be that Haaland has become quite rusty(perhaps, wasteful), I can't say if it's fatigue or just lack of psychological confidence, maybe he's just a victim of his own last season success, regardless, Guardiola would highly be in need of their goal scoring machine to weather the storm yet again this season.

I keep going from bad to worse in these last couple of weeks in this pool lately.I am not complaining as there is a lot of time still although chances the more we go forward the less the chances to get to a prize spot.Nevertheless I am placing ideal predictions in the pool but I am placing not at all ideal bets and yesterday I won this bet for example from the Premier League https://stake.com/sports/home?type=sports&status=settled&iid=sport%3A119531462&modal=bet so at least I am winning in a consistent way with the bets I place in the Premier League,hopefully I start improving also in the pool.

Rodri has been their most important player for 3 seasons now. Without him Manchester City do not control the game and dictate the pace as they always do, if they cannot do that, it gives an opportunity for their opponents to show their quality and many of the opponents in the EPL has a lot of those.

Some part of me still thinks City would have lost to Villa even with Rodri. They seem to have hit a block that they need to turn out from, not tasting defeat in the league in so many weeks is something that affects your mentality. They need a strong response during the weekend.

He has the speed he has the strength but just without a brain like you said. He was good in Benfica before but in Liverpool he is just terrible,he misses so much and Liverpool was bad on the league table mostly because of him because he didnt score anything. This season he scores a little but still misses a lot but other players score so not much effect on Liverpool this season. He was paid that much only because of that good season in Benfica.

They must begin hunting for his replacement, but this will be a difficult task given the number of available DM on the market right now. They can't depend on him forever.

I agree with you- with Rodri, Aston Villa could have won the game. I've never seen any team limit Manchester City to only 2 shots on target, 0 corners, and 13 touches in Aston Villa's 18-yard box.

Definitely overpriced yes but it's actually his raw aggression that I like -- w don't have our maestro No 9 any longer, but too often we're stuck because that intricate pass wasn't always available. Gakpo, Jota, even Diaz are quite creative, Salah super brain. But there are days I wish we had a battering ram.

Suarez was slick but his rabid running was what terrified opponents into giving him the opportunity to create, the way he riled opponent teams and even manager, my favourite memory was him diving in front of Moyes to celebrate a derby goal. Nunez stirs the same feel for me! I'm actually wishing for more fire ala Nunez on Pep. I love it.

Contributions per minutes played. And chances he creates on his own. Not much effect, I wouldn't say -- high impact just by his presence.

Congrats on your guess i went with Newcastle because i was thinking they were in form but ended up getting destroyed by Everton. Everton made a good win to get some important points. Newcastle just are bad and i dont know how they will be in top 6 clubs this season if they dont win this games. Thankfully this dosent hurt my place in the pool so happy with this round. Also want to say what a big achivement i made in the pool now im 38th in the world out of 72k players.

Nice! It’s a pity that such a bold prediction gives only 1 point of advantage against those who bet on the favorite. Although I remember that the odds were close, most people saw Newcals as the winner no matter what.
For me, this is an unsuccessful round, so I won’t even look at the details, but I think that those who predicted Tottenham’s defeat are even fewer, although the result is classic (2-1) and it will be a full three points.

EPL just motivated us to play better
I expected a clean sheet at home, but didn't see these two late goals

lost 0,5 points for a close score, but happy for Beto, he scored his first EPL goal for Everton in 90+7 minute, overtime (and Doucs goal was good for my FPL team, so it is not a zero-sum game either)
and with this win, Everton is out from relegation zone, just three rounds after 10 point deduction #UTFT #weshallnotbemoved

Most players prefer to play it safe and go with the expected odds hoping to come out on top more times than not. I made a couple bold predictions this match mid-week, and surprisingly the most unlikely ones were the ones that were correct, with the Everton and Villa win, and the more likely upsets did not.

The question now is will City struggle at Kenilworth road this weekend?
