+1 Patience is a virtue. Took 15 minutes to sync without all the .conf stuff

I am having wallet issues too very annoying
I just got mine to sync I am using Windows 7: Here is what I did to get it cooking First STEP: This will allow your to change the extension of the file you will be creating:Goto your start menu, and in the search box, Enter "file options" Click the "view" tab at the top Scroll down to "Hide extensions of known file types" Make sure it is NOT checked Click "Ok" Finding the correct folder:Goto your start menu, and in the search box, Enter "%APPDATA%", hit enter Double click the "Roaming" folder Double click the "MintCoin" folder Creating the config file:Right click on a white spot within the "Mintcoin" folder Scroll down and click "New" Then select "Text document" Name it mintcoin.txt Copy and pasting the nodes into your created file:Double click mintcoin.txt (to open up the file into notepad) Copy the following info below:addnode=198.241.46.170 addnode=162.243.4.85 addnode=211.28.143.54 addnode=46.4.95.176 addnode=192.241.215.76 addnode=111.126.201.199 addnode=14.107.225.71 addnode=162.243.222.26 addnode=144.76.64.123 addnode=89.71.42.172 addnode=212.247.109.253Now paste it into your opened mintcoin.txt file Save and close Renaming your file to make it a config file:Right click mintcoin.txt Select "rename file" Name it "mintcoin.conf" (make sure you get rid or the .txt at the end) Restart your Mintcoin wallet (should start to sync in 5-10min) Mintcoin:MfiRLCLrhkT5bP5kYAQZgdFhbwZtAf7Lsh I did that: a mix of the 2 previous post: sync immediatly. Question , Fedoracoin just had a major problem with a Multipool driving up the difficulty, then switching away. This has left them in a sticky place until they implement Kimotos Gravity Well in approx 200 blocks.
Does Mint have any protection from having the same thing happening?
And if any of you has some spare hashing power, they would appreciate a little help getting though the last few blocks.

Followed all the instructions in the OP, wallet still not syncing.
If you use the latest addnodes in the OP, you should sync.

No Mintcoin does not have such problem, because Mintcoin retargets diff every block. It uses Peercoin-like algorithm which I think is simpler than gravity well and does the same thing. Apparently Kimoto did not know the arts of the algorthms, so he tried to re-invent the same wheel.

On a side note, I was in the garden yesterday, noticed how far my mint plants had spread out since last year. A good omen I hope for this coin.
