The problem is clearly the .conf file.

If you don't do the tweak on windows, your .conf file is a .conf.txt file, even if you don't notice the .txt, and so it didn't work.  In your "file option" in windows, you should uncheck the 'hide extension for known files", and then remove the .txt extention that appears.

The other option is to copy someone-else file in your folder.

The coin goes well, let it be how it is for the moment. Not needing an exchange at the moment, let us mine, this coin is just few days old and it will help to let that coin alive and that means no dumping in the first week on a small exchange. lets bring it up to cryptsy in 2 or 3 weeks maybe

I wouldn't mind an exchange. I would love to get some extra coins while they are still relatively cheap, but trading with other people in buy/sell treads or using escrow just isn't ideal. It would also add to the credibility of mintcoin early on. I don't believe it will be dumped/hurt the coin as much as other coins have experienced due to the block rewards halving quickly and the pos appeal.

Coinmarket is a good start Smiley

Yep!

Everyone please post there to get MINT added!

I have also used this exchange as it is pretty quick for new coins https://www.swisscex.com/

Go here https://www.swisscex.com/support, type MINT in message subject and you will see the request and can VOTE for it!

My wallet just synced completely, but theres a problem. I have no coins in my wallet! I had a different receiving address before it synced, so where did my coins go?

There is a .conf file in the QT download, where you extracted the rar-files.

You have to find out which wallet.dat you used to generate receiving address. Don't delete anything before you find it.

I prefer to wait longer, too. 2nd or 3rd week is just fine. Leaf started out pretty early and got dumped after the block halving in 2nd week. Even Cryptsys couldn't help them anymore.

Several people have reported not being paid from the zenet pool. I have removed it from the list, temporarily or definitively, until clarification.

I only have 1 wallet.dat file for MINT. I'm really confused because something like this has never happened. Why would it delete my old wallet.dat and create a new one? I downloaded the wallet yesterday and didn't make any changes except to the conf file!

http://mnt.coins4everyone.com/index.php this pool is really nice. I don't think you can find better. I'm not related or gaining anything to promote it, but seriously it did well and is stable with fast payments.

Can someone please assist me with this? I had 1M coins sent to the address I had for MINT yesterday. Today I wake up and I have a completely new address! The only changes I made were modifications to the mintcoin.conf file, trying to get the wallet to sync.

Are you sure you did not delete any file?
I assume your adress is store in the wallet.dat file. If you deleted it, it's over.

We need to differentiate between Cryptsy and coinmarket. Cryptsy is a place for the big dumps for sure. Getting listed on smaller exchanges will only help with distribution of MINT.

Besides, trying not to get listed on even the smallest exchanges can be used against us when the mining is done and people wonder how the distribution is(how many wallets holds the most coins, etc.). Coinmarket is perfect IMO.

Please remove this from the OP, it's a scam.

I mined all night from launch only to not be able to withdraw my funds. When I click the e-mail activation code it says "Unable to activate your account. Invalid token.". When I try to contact the staff to tell them my problem via the contact page I get "There was a problem sending your message. Please try again.".

Scam? or just poorly run? Either way, you can't access the coins you have mined, and it allows you to mine before activation.

I am confident that I did not delete the wallet.dat file. I did not touch it at all. I have a new wallet.dat without having touched anything except the mintcoin.conf file.

Hi, Im not a pool owner or anything but try again if it says invalid token and try again, it says that when it took long time between trying ur login and such, at least that is what I experienced when trying other pools.
