ufff dumpers coming, pump is dead Angry

Be happy you had a chance to sell at 21 friend - It's not easy getting a coordinated pump together Smiley

EDIT: That was all for the holders btw - Not for those out there buying up at 19, 20 out of greed - but for those who held the bag for weeks, good communities deserve to make a few bucks Smiley
Yeah, I sell at 20, we need buying 13

Glad you were able to profit Smiley

nicely played cat... i lost 100$ in mint cause i was following you from the bc thread... not knowing mint was already at its peak...
In order to get the maximum amount of activity points possible, you just need to post once per day on average. Skipping days is OK as long as you maintain the average.

Bad luck there friend! I've got the short end of the stick on a pump before too, never a good feeling Sad For future though, do make sure you follow these rules:

1. Never panic buy or sell. If the pump has already started its usually too late, never expect more than a 20% increase in price in one go.
2. Never dump. If you do end up paying more for a coin than the stable market price then just sit on them for a bit - there is always a rebound after the dump and that is your opportunity to sell.
3. Watch the markets carefully and make an informed decision before buying or selling - In actual fact I put a comparatively small amount of BTC into MINT before the jump but I could see the market for BC was going down regardless of what people want to believe and I could see movement incoming on the MINT market. Because MINT and BC are complimentary I reasoned that as BC tumbles that BTC will probably be in the hands of itchy traders wanting to get their profit fix - MINT was the obvious option!

Ultimately its just about watching, listening to the mood of the communities, watching for rampant market manipulation on the order books up or down, then making statements as to the markets movements based on your best guess. I could very well have been utterly wrong and MINT would have seen no action whatsoever in which case I would simply be 'trolling', but on this occasion I got it right and people just climbed over each other to get their hands on MINT before offloading it just as quickly as they could!

Hold those coins, it will go back up bud Smiley

EDIT: To be honest I'm taking too much credit with my original post - bit cheeky - I didn't coordinate anything, I made a guess as to a pump coming soon for MINT and it happened lol Couldn't believe my luck but apart from following those rules above I didn't do jack haha

Alright, there was a pump and some of you took advantage of it. This is a great thing, it really is for securing your money, but remember: we are in for the long term. The Mintcoin Fund had nothing to do with the pump, it is a long-standing concept. The Fund is already securing projects

The pump gave some exposure to mint. This exposure should be used for further increasing the movement toward the Fund. Crypto are not just a way to make quick cash, they also are a way to drive projects that actually matter on a global scale. Project that are visible and thus will get the money appreciated - more money to you.

There is the short term and there is the long term. Short term is done (for the moment) now let's move on to long term.

Monero: the first crytocurrency to bring bank secrecy and net neutrality to the blockchain.HyperStake: pushing the limits of staking.

So premine and launch a not so good
I kiss ninja launch, but combining premine is bad
dev should do a big giveaway with that premine...

Ninja launch? Launch was fine. PoW phase was nearly 5 weeks long, which is great compared to some other PoS coins which implemented a initial PoW phase. Dev has been building lots of infrastructure with the premine, that is why mint is listed on more exchanges and has more merchants that just about any other coin that came out around the same time. And the mintcoin foundation is in the works as we speak. a give-away is not a bad idea- a few have already occurred- but the dev team has stated multiple times that the premine is meant to be used for long term goals i.e. building infrastructure throughout the growth of the coin (they don't want to use it or give it all away early on because they want to be able to continue to support the coin as it grows later on).

I thanks MAXCoin failure on launch.. that bring me to Mint, someone commented on the max forum that mint just launched ad was smooth launch, i changed all my miners there in that momemnt, even a newby like me find mint a mined since bloack 250! Best coin start i have ever seen in crypto world, eberithing worked

Hi,

The Mintcoin Fund is progressing.
We have several Board Members, from all over the (Western) world. When I say we have Board Members, I mean they already fullfilled all the legal obligations to be Board Members. They are not "count me in" members.
The money from the premine is on its way to a dedicated address.
Another address is available for donation (only for the Mintcoin Trust): MjAQAmm6WEX2fx7xgBunZt4RpzwhqHtD4r.

Why donate?
1) to show support for sustainable development project
2) to actually help said projects
3) to increase the visibility of mintcoin, which will in turn raise the value of it - which translates into more money for you, since your mintcoin will be worth more.

The website will come soon. Donators will have a way to express where they want their money directed as soon as we figured out a way to related donations and donators.

We are better, we are faster, We are Greener and clearer we are the Future.
Mint.

There is already 137k mint in the donation. Wow!
These mints will be left untouched until the Mintcoin Fund is officially registered or we find a way to secure the relationship between an address and a person, whichever comes last.

An option is take the PayPal route for veryfying credit card: send a small amount of mint and ask the owner to give the exact amount.

Monero: the first crytocurrency to bring bank secrecy and net neutrality to the blockchain.HyperStake: pushing the limits of staking.

Multipool launched!!

I'm happy to announce, that http://hashco.ws has now launched its 'Get Paid in MintCoin' option to the pool. Sign Up, and head on over to 'Account Settings' where you'll see the option of changing from the standard BTC payout option to MINT.
Our pool also has the unique option of being able to keep other altcoins we mine as well, should you so choose. We welcome all the members of the mint community who wish to give us a shot. Please feel free to join us on irc. Freenode / #hashcows Its in a bit of a beta these first few days, as we work out any kinks with the mint payouts specifically, however the pool itself has been operational for more than 6 months now. MINT payouts will happen between 03:30 - 04:00 GMT daily.
For the time being, there is no additional fee for being paid out in MINT vs. BTC
Happy Mining

Hey everyone, being relatively new to the Crypto world I have a stupid question Wink

Do the coins gain interest in Paper Wallet, or do they need to be online?

Yes coinage will be accumulated on the coins in cold storage, as I understand it. You won't receive compounding interest, though, unless you connect the cold storage address to the blockchain every 20 days or so. When you move it from cold storage so that you can connect to the blockchain and recieve the interest, make sure not to move the coins to a new address as this would reset them (assuming it is possible to simply transfer the paper wallet address to a hot wallet, without moving the coins to a new address? I've never actually worked with paper wallets before..).

It will get to 100+ satoshis soon enough.

Now up to 19-20 satoshis.
