Many people say the government is not interested in cryptocurrency. Many people think the government has prohibit
crypto to protect investors from risks. Maybe in your country, that's true. But in some countries, especially developing countries, the government just wants to rob your assets. They rob publicly, lawfully and as much as possible. they are really bandits.I'm not afraid what they do. Because we have many ways to fight them. But this world is not as simple as you think. They can kill you if you are demonstrating.
You can ask any vietnamese that : Do you support your government ? I bet 99% answer is never. 1% remaining I'm sure they are goverment employee or their family. Wink

If in your country banned bitcoin don't be afraid on using bitcoin because it is hard to the government to trace the people who using bitcoin. Specially if the bitcoin wallet that you are using have a high security it is hard to trace by someone or by the government.

Yes, of course, it must be admitted that the presence of bitcoin is an economic threat to a country, by implementing a decentralized system the state does not have the power to control if someday it is a problem, besides crypto's features are anonymous so they never know the owner of crypto.

It is not just anonymity that governments are worried about. Cryptocurrencies have the ability to take power out of the hands of the government. When banks in Cyprus went bust, ordinary depositors lost money just so that the banks could be bailed in. That won’t happen if cryptocurrencies are well adopted.

Government is really scary, they are kind and peaceful in front but there is a monster inside them.
they are the most corrupt person in your country (most of the people)
Why are they stopping cryptocurrency? because it is uncontrollable.

High level of confidentiality, transparency, and trust are the three main benefits that Blockchain and Bitcoin offer and the democratization of money seems to be the most significant financial revolution of the century. Governments around the world, however, are still trying to make Bitcoin an exotic part of society. Illegal transactions, network failures, volatility, ICO scams have led countries such as South Korea to come up with a regulation on Bitcoin. When Asian governments control digital money, Europe is also on the verge of building a digital-based empire. Countries such as Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden and the UK recognize the potential of digital money, its ability to influence and, in particular, the power that can corroborate centralized governments. And re-revolutionize financial systems.

Yes, that's true, many governments are trying to rob us simply because they want to make money. The best example is the bank where we deposit money and withdraw money and do a lot of stuff with our money but at the end of the day, every profit is going to the government. He is taking tax from everything and possibly taking whatever they can and we are just workers. It is just a modern version of a slave.

I think the government is really scary with bitcoin and the world of electronic money. Government regulations will directly affect the value of electronic money. Many countries accept the existence of electronic money but some do not.

Governments should indeed be scared of the cryptocurrency and not us to be scared by their capability to ban it locally. Bitcoin and cryptocurrency can kill banks, taxes, and overpriced transactions, as it was decentralized, and cannot be controlled by a mere government alone.

I guess it's true that the government skim off the top of the taxes the people give for their own benefit but I'd like to believe that there are still government officials who really and genuinely would like to better the lives of people around them. These genuine people are being corrupted by bad ones so that they'll be all on the same boat.

I am Vietnamese, I do not fully support the government but I also do not oppose them in everything. Because I think they are not totally bad and they can never meet the needs of the people. In addition, our country has so much fraud, not trust the government and often tax evasion. This often causes the state budget to go down and they can not improve our living environment.

Yes, right.
The Indonesian government has repeatedly banned crypto users.
Their reason the government began to take decisive steps to suppress the development of bitcoin in Indonesia. Bank Indonesia (BI) as the financial regulator in Indonesia considers cryptocurrency as an illegal and unrecognized currency.
But personally I continue to support crypto as my long-term need.

Everything depends on the degree of development of democracy in society. Apparently, in Vietnam, democracy has not yet developed. In other, more developed states from the point of view of freedom of speech, any negative information about the unseemly acts of the authorities is published in the mass media and then such an official will not be envied. As a rule, after that he resigns. Therefore, officials are afraid of the media and are afraid of ordinary people. And it is right. Public people, vested with power, should be visible in their least actions. This is the meaning of democracy. If a person wants to be in politics, wants to have a certain degree of power, he must be prepared for the fact that his public, and even personal life will be in the permanent eye of the public.

Yes right, I think the government is afraid because the development of bitcoin is so fast that it makes many people worry that fiat can be less popular, I hope that the government is not afraid of crypto actually becomes an opportunity to get big profits.

Although the central authority of a state is given to the governments to rule the affairs of the state, Bitcoin acts on a different principle which eliminate all centralization. The decentralized nature of Bitcoin works in favour of the people, thus takes the power and control over their own financing back to the people  and once the people accept to continue to trade with BTC, the governments have little influence on ceasing the transactions.

I'm not a pro government, they only care for taxes but not for our safety and good services, if bitcoin still exist for another 10 years I'm  certain they put taxes in your assets too.

They might be, but it's something that we will never be sure of because part of the government is secret. The US government ones did experiments, or sterilized some poor black people, and had to pay a lot of money after they were caught. So who's to know if they might used Crypto to screw people.

Many Big  Countries approved of crypto currency because they are stable when it comes to to generate of income this crypto currency is their additional asset and also they are really want to it become primary use someday, but for the small country like here in the Philippines government are still seeking an additional business sector to put their business here for additional income through taxes, but for crypto currency as of now our government doesn't have enough fully understood whats the good benefits might be given for all Filipino people our government still doubt as of now that's they are not yet approved  for adopting cryto currency.

I think the government is afraid of the crypto currency because they can not control it and will also bring down their country's economy, maybe they think like that. Though not necessarily the currency crypto drop the economy of their country.
