This is one of my strategy,
As you've said BTCTC is a long-term investment
so by using BTCTC as your capital in day trading
it could double the profit Smiley

Right now I prefer to trade only with those cryptocurrencies which have USD as basis currency for trading, especially Bitcoin. Because in such way I can trade and fix my income only in USD and use marginal trading.

It's good to distribute your investments: part of course to leave in bitcoin, I prefer to invest another amount in promising ico projects. I know that many will disagree but it really can be beneficial, the main thing is to find a good project. I have been doing this for about 6 months, now the situation on the market is not very good. But there are projects with quality products and good conditions.

I will never sell Bitcoin to buy Altcoin. It's too risky, I do not want to be at a loss. A bitcoin is a reliable investment.

My own strategy is that, I cannot trade bitcoin in place of altcoin but I can only trade altcoins with very little investment so that even of I lose, it won't hurt my portfolio generally

No, that is not my strategy.
Some think trading altcoins could be more profitable than trading Bitcoin but having in mind how much altcoins is on the market and how easy is to pick wrong one. I wouldn't agree with that.
To my opinion Bitcoin is still the coin that can give you thr the biggest profit and that will not disappear from market like some altcoins. So, I definetely wouldn't sell Bitcoin to buy altcoin, this would be wrong decision.

If you have times and skill for trading , that will be great thing to increase the amount of BTC, and to minimize the risk is better use maximum 50% of BTC and doing short trade. Others more thing to avoid risk is always use stop loss and never forget it because the price can be crash just afew hours while we are sleeping.

I prefer to buy Bitcoin better than buy altcoin because Bitcoin's value is unpredictable. But when I just bought Bitcoin and stuck my foot in that place for so long, I was bored and I wanted to use it for business.

I still have the confidence to buy Bitcoin at the moment. The price of BTC is still the highest in the market and I believe it will be profitable if I invest in Altcoins in the future.

Until now, I still believe in the growth of bitcoin, so it is impossible for me to do it, even though bitcoin has experienced a significant fall lately but now it has improved again and the price continues to rise.

I don't think it's the right choice if you do this by selling bitcoin that already has high confidence in its growth and is used to buy altcoins that are still difficult to predict in the future.
Yeah bitcoin is falling these past few months and it is normal, years ago bitcoin just costs for over a hundred dollar and now a thousands of which means there will be significant rise and fall of the price. I guess its okay to trade bitcoin to some altcoin which you think that you are going to make more with not to the shit ones, make study of the coin take the opportunity of a bear market.

Everyone will definitely do that, but what will be the difference is how the decision will be made.
The right time to buy is the most important thing.
Timing will make different results and that is why we must be prepared to take advantage of all the available momentum.

It all depends actually. You can trade bitcoin for other altcoins as well but it all depends on the altcoin. Some altcoins outgrow bitcoin during bull run so, you must be careful to choose what to do

I prefer to trade in altcoin rather than bitcoin because the conditions of altcoin prices are still very cheap, so the profit that I can get is very much and the price movement of altcoin is also very fast which makes me like altcoins.

I am sure that at least one-half of the people from this forum would trade Bitcoin to get more various altcoins. You can make more money when you work with tokens. Additionally, you will earn here faster.

No, probably not. If I invested in one cryptocurrency, then I must be sure of it. If I want to invest in another, I will make it a separate contribution.

I think if we can choose the right altcoin that has the experience to increase higher in the past, we can have a chance to sell bitcoin and buy the altcoin. but it looks like many people won't take the risk to do this because many altcoins cannot increase higher this time and many traders are getting a stop at the high price. I will trade bitcoin to buy altcoin but I only use a small part of bitcoin to buy the altcoin and I only choose the potential altcoin that can increase in the future.

Because I believe that alcoin will increase and when I invest in this, it means I come with this project from the beginning. I may get high profit in the future. But when I buy bitcoin, It has own foundation and the price is expensive.

I suggest you not to sell bitcoin because it is getting more people's attention now, and most of the altcoins are affected by the fall of ETH!

I was looking at the possibility of investing in several Altcoins as part of my trading by selling off Bitcoins. I do feel that with proper planning and execution, the profits that could be reaped through these Altcoins by day trading in a week would be far superior to that of Bitcoin.

It is true I am talking in terms of a short term gain. BTC is certainly a long term investment but what about the short term gains? As an example, even if I invest in 1000 coins of IOTA or 10000 coins of NEM, I am assured of greater volatility in the market for these coins compared to that of BTC. If NEM makes a high on a particular day even by 0.05$ USD, I would make 0.05x10000 = 500$ USD in a day if I sell all my coins at that price.

Of course, trading does involve many other practical factors which make things not as simply as I write here. But being a pro I can simplify the complexity and say that it is certainly possible to make it so.

But will this not be a way to make decent income every day? When you invest in cryptocurrency, it is a need for one to continually observe the market trends. When one is able to understand the intricacies of the market then it is better that he takes up (day) trading.

After all it is important we make money on a regular basis apart from the long term investment isn’t it so?

Bitcoin is too popular. I am thinking of diversifying my portfolio. I am planning to buy some established token ICO and some Altcoins - Biidcoin (BIID) -  PeerCoin TestNet (PPC-TEST).  Shocked

you should if you are an experienced trader. If you don't, I suggest you not to do that. But at the moment, you should hold Bitcoin instead of selling it and buy Altcoin. Be a wise trader.

Yes, because it is the easiest method anyone can do to buy any altcoins he will prefer. Not all altcoins are available through fiat. Most of the time, you really need to buy bitcoin first before you are able to buy altcoins especially those that just newly released.
