DuskNetwork, about the smart contract, could you tell me what kind of language will be using? Is it going to be some syntax similar to ethereum maybe?

Since DUSK is now listed on several exchanges, can anyone tell me where which token is traded? I have to admit, I am a bit confused about the BEP2 and the ERC-20 tokens. I guess you cannot trade both tokens on all exchanges, right?

I just hope their mainnet is ready soon and the tokens will be swapped to the native coins then so that there aren't two different dusk tokens anymore.

Yes, AFAIK ERC-20 based DUSK is currently being traded on HotBit and bittrex whereas BEP-2 tokens are only traded on Binance's DEX and CEX.
Not sure about coinexchange because never used them.

Coinexchange doesn't use BEP-2. AFAIK only Binance DEX and CEX are using BEP-2 atm, so it should be easy to determine which token are traded on which exchange.

Binance cex uses BEP-2  but we can also send ERC20 based DUSK tokens which will be automatically converted to BEP-2

Much speculation in the Community about possible partnerships to be announced in the coming months, Facebook-level businesses and more. Unfortunately this is unofficial information, but considering that many large companies will have an interest in the Dusk platform, the only thing to do now might be to grab a few more tokens at low cost.  Wink

As for the nodes:
Network nodes - transactional network clients. They compete with each other by locking an arbitrary amount for the generating and proposing of new blocks. Block generation is a computationally light task and therefore running a node does not require neither specialised equipment nor storage. The intention is for normal mobile devices to be able to run as a node within the network. The non-deterministic nature of the bidding process makes it so that even nodes bidding the minimum amount of DUSK have a fair chance to win the block generation sortition lottery.

Provisioners - These are nodes that have committed a certain minimum stake to the Dusk Network and take care of more network intensive tasks such as block verification, voting, and notarization (VVN operations). These types of nodes are non-transactional

The intention is to create an economy where nodes compete for block rewards, while Provisioners earn a steady ROI.

Is going to be interesting to see how this part is developing. if the normal node can really run in a mobile device, this could really make for a big and robust net for securing the functioning

Dusk have seen 0.60 levels afaik, right now price is low but even now price is 3x of ico price. So not bad i guess?

That's a pretty neat feature from Binance send them ETH based DUSK and they will automatically convert them to BEP-2 tokens I just tried it after reading your post and it works

Now I see that BEP-2 $0.2 and ERC20 $0.18, that is, after such an exchange, your tokens immediately added to the price of ~11% if of course immediately sell them on binance dex. Although it seems to me that the price of different tokens should still align.

Looks like he has good credentials and will certainly be a great asset to the team, especially seeing how Dusk is growing each week. I guess your project is getting interesting not just for investors but for professionals also.

It's probably a web wallet, which means it is not a full node. It connects to another node that is a full node.

Quote
The core methodology of our network is embedded into the consensus algorithm, SBA★. SBA★ splits the workload among two distinct node types - Block Generators and Provisioners. These nodes safeguard the network and are rewarded for processing truthful information to the network. To sustain their operations, nodes are compensated in DUSK. Their payment is a combination of the transaction fees that are levied and a block reward from the Dusk Network incentivization pool.

I cant understand this algorithm. is the SBA algorithm is the same as DPoS algorithm, where Provisioners is the same as Delegators, and Block Generators is a Validators? Shall I stake my coins here for getting rewards as Delegators by voting for Node Validator (Block producer)?

DPoS is just a variation of PoS nodes are even more centraliseds to a delegated few. Dusk's consensus mechanism has built in resistence (on the protocol level) against the attack vectors commonly talked about in literature on (d)PoS, namely:

1) nothing-at-stake attack - in summary it is the problem with (d)PoS systems where nodes don't lose anything from behaving badly, they lose nothing by forking the chain as they will receive both coins on both chains if a fork happens. Note: this problem does not exist with Proof-of-Work (PoW) as the miner gets the most reward from being on the correct chain as that is where their hashing power lies, and;

2) long-range-attacks -  because of its voting system that is built into the Dusk blockchain and is being engineered to avoid chain divergence.

I know about DPoS algorithm as I have staked some coins in few projects as delegator. But can you explaine me, how will be possible to run node on your blcokchain? There is no min amount of Dusk as I understand for setup a node and I may run node with any amount of Dusk?

Binance cex uses BEP-2  but we can also send ERC20 based DUSK tokens which will be automatically converted to BEP-2

How can this conversion work? I thought that they only created a limited amount of BEP-2 tokens (while burning the same amount of ERC20-tokens to keep the total supply intact). So where do the BEP-2 token come from when people keep sending ERC20 tokens to Binance DEX?

You cant mine Dusks, but you can earn some in a later phase.
Just now there is a test version.

Balder Bomans is a good addition on your advisers, i read somewhere else that the browser extension testing will end this 27th will the token earned remain.

I think you are confused with the social media campaign. 50 thousand tokens have been allocated to that campaign and the number of participants is about 35 thousand, so that is less than 2 tokens per person. You could consider this a token burn event, because really who is going to bother trading one token?
