I think this p2pool is down.
 Huh

http://btq.altcryptomining.com/
This is routine for altcrypto. He/she really must not know what they're doing. I bailed from there completely weeks ago after their third strike. It was not a mistake.

This is a pretty silly thing to say.

I manage multiple pools and have a full time job. Things break, and I fix them.

Yes, that may have been a bit harsh. Please accept my apology. You cannot deny, however, that your pool does have a nasty habit of breaking about once every couple of weeks. I lost confidence after the third time and have not had similar problems with other pools. Even tonight looking at your pool stats, it's broken again. Nothing personal. Just the facts.

You should take a look at Quarkbar, same quark algo only much rarer and uses kimotos gravity well for retargeting and the community is really starting to take off. Also ZERO premine like bitquark so it's also fair but with more advanced features Smiley

Major problem of QuarkBar is the block halving period, it has 2 weeks, it is extremely short ~
It is not rare, it just Insta Mined Coin,
I do not think it is fair

Not sure how you say that QuarkBar is rare...I just mined over 50 QuarkBar coins at a pool in less than 5 mins with 3Mh/s. If you mine BTQ with 3Mh/s it will take you around 18 hours to mine 50 BTQ. So QuarkBar certainly isn't rare!

Just compare the block halving, 2 weeks vs 4 years,
QB has too short and BTQ has too long,

Too short : most of coin will be finish within short time, same issues with the original Quark
Too long : there is no inflation control practically,

Anyway, KGW is a good thing, when I am mining BTQ, there are couple of sneaky miners,

Have a nice day

I done some solo-mining yesterday on QB and was able to mine over 1200 in only a couple hours.

So what would be a good time span before halving? 2 years?

Total amount of quarkbar will be mined in 3 years rather than original quarks 6 months then inflates at 1,051,200 new qb per year and with 7,221,941,060 people in the world right now that should keep it pretty rare, im sure the crypto community is only going to grow. (i realise onl a small fraction of earths population will be using crypto in the near future but i still think it will suffice)

Just my personal opinion, I believe 1 year is the pretty good number for 3rd level coins
(1st : BTC, 2nd : LTC, 3rd : ..... )

That's one of the draw backs from p2pool mining, because the amounts are so small and no fees are applied so the network has to make up for the non-fee transactions. That's one reason I was pushing so hard for a MPOS style pool.

ah, so it seems the only way to fix my issue is to transfer all my btq to another wallet, and use the other wallet? would that be the only solution?

Just got an email from Cryptsy.com! Here's what it said:

Thank you for letting me know about this coin!
I have added your coin to the list of coins our development team is
reviewing for addition to the cryptsy market.

Thank you,
Cryptsy.com

So it looks like we might be added to Cryptsy's exchange really soon!!!

Hope to join the cryptsy
I'm hopeful about it
Come on

Yea I have the source code now for the Android wallet, still looking through the code to see what all has to be done. I probably could use some help on it, so if anyone has any experience with making Android apps hit me up via email BitQuarkCoin@gmail.com

Yea I'm hoping that BTQ will be on one of the major exchanges really soon as C-Cex doesn't have any volume/traffic, so most of the miners are holding out for a better exchange. We do have the dumpers who are selling cheap on C-Cex.
