Looks like the word about BitQuark is finally getting out! As each day passes more and more people are joining the pool and mining BTQ!!!
That's good to hear. Quick question I'm hoping the community can answer, the coin locator user pin forms need to validate the user's wallet address as a check to make sure the user has a real wallet address and that it's actually being used (e.g. has a transaction). We're using variations of the following for bitcoin, litecoin, quark and dogecoin: <?php require_once('jsonrpcphp/includes/jsonRPCClient.php'); /** SIMPLE BITCOIN JSON RPC PHP**/ $btc_connect = array("user" => "", "pass" => "", "host" => "blockchain.info", "port" => 80); //create an array with connection settings $bitcoin = new jsonRPCClient("http://{$btc_connect['user']}:{$btc_connect['pass']}@{$btc_connect['host']}:{$btc_connect['port']}");
$address = 'bitcoinaddress'; $isvalid = $bitcoin->validateaddress($address); if($isvalid['isvalid']) { //Address valid } else{ echo '---------'.$address.'---------'; } ?> Is there any kind of blockchain api for bitquark which allows for a similar check? We don't want to install blockchains for multiple coins. If not we may just go with a base58 check to verify wallet address structure and skip the transaction check. Thanks.

If you use this code, then you will need a daemon setup on the server because you'll need the RPC password to connect to it. The other option is to use, like you said, base58.

That's sure to anger a lot of people. 737 payments have been sent out so far at http://www.multifaucet.tk/index.php?faucet=BTQC-Cex.com shows 0.03 BTC volume in trades today. Looks like this coin is beginning to gains some speed.

Yea that image might ruffle some feathers lol. BTQ has definitely been getting some notice...The hashrate has been up and down over the past few days (100MH/s - 275MH/s). It's just a matter of time before we see a huge boom!!

I think we need a few dozen people blowing up the comments section of this article.

I switch between pool.bitquark.info and bitquark.suprnova.cc FYI, bitquark is about to overtake quarkbar on swisscex.com voting. Still have a ways to go though.

Sorry for the delay guys. I was planning on going home at lunch time to get the server back up and going, I ended up having to go out on a service call and I'm just getting home. Pool is back up and going now! Once again, sorry for the delay.

Yea Danny that's always a good idea to have a fail-over setup on your miner in case something like this happens.

I know it's about 6 months away, but if the 1,000,000 th block is found at http://pool.bitquark.info I will give the finder of the block 10,000 BTQ. I know we don't know what the value of BTQ will be in 6 months, but even if the price reach about $1 I will still award the finder 10,000 BTQ!!! So keep on mining and promoting BTQ guys and girls!!! EDIT: Also if for some reason I'm the one who finds the block, then I will disburse the 10,000 BTQ among the pool works at that time.

I've added pool information such as URL, # Workers, Hashrate, Price, time since last Block, and Efficiency of BTQ pools to the Pools page http://bitquark.info/pools.phpThis way you can see all the above info and know how many people are mining as said pool and the pools hashrate.

Can anyone do anything with this? https://github.com/HashEngineering/quarkcoin-walletOne of my local friends is working on a simple app to check digital currency prices and has promised to add a BTQ price chart as well, still we need to eventually get a full blown mobile bitquark wallet though. There are about 5 of us bitquark supporters in South Florida that I know of. A friend of mine and I will occasionally trade bitquarks for stuff, just to play around and boost the network transactions and I've already mentioned my wife now charges me bitquarks for "services". I think I may have to start charging her bitquarks everytime she requests a foot massage.
