Just want to catch everyone up on what I've been working on. Just completed and compiled the new BitQuark-Qt with the "Coin Control" feature added. I will release this update as soon as beta testing is completed.

Could explain what is 'Coin Control' ?
So, interesting ^^

Coin Control is a new feature for advanced users that allows manual control over coin selection. Every time that you receive coins, a new unspent output is added to the wallet. These outputs (“coins”) are combined as necessary for outgoing payments. Normally this selection process happens automatically and outside control of the user. With Coin Control, the user can select which unspent outputs to use as inputs to an transaction. It also makes it possible to control to which address the change will go.

Exercising manual control over coin selection allows for a degree of privacy by controlling which coins are used together, and thus what a third party looking at the block chain will see. It also gives insight into the inner workings of BitQuark, such as the fee computation and the size of transactions which is nice for educational value.

This would be great for POS coins to control FIFO/FILO for staking.  BTQ isn't POS is it?  At any rate, it's one more thing to distinguish BTQ from the other QRK clones.

BTQ jumped up in price significantly today.  Went from 86 BTQ for a $1 this morning to 68 BTQ for a $1 as of now.  I now officially own about $30 worth of BTQ!  That's part of the reason I want that flea market guy to finish up.  I have crap mining gear and hash rates, but if I have an opportunity to sell stuff for BTQ and people are willing to buy it, I'm all in.

Not bad, that's a 27% increase! Yeah none of the other Quark algo coins have the coin control feature yet, but you know as soon as I releases the source code, then the rest will follow LoL

Thank you for the information, ^^

How about adding a defragment of coin function ?
Maybe need some options such as

( ) free merging, it will takes longer time to defrag - just merging smaller block avoid TxFee
( ) quick merging with [0.000xxx] btq as TxFee
     ----
[     ] btq or smaller blocks only
[     ] days or older only
     ----
     ( ) self transfer method
     ( ) dual address mode with [                              ]

It is target on the merged the blocks into bigger valued block, it will make easy to transfer the big amount
And free from the dust coins which has made with P2P pool
Maybe, daily coins are merging in to a block ?
And, create a new wallet option at final stage to defrag the walllet.dat also
And, some reports in to the log file on default

Actually, it is possible to do with self-transaction, i guess,

Actually, when consider the status of block chain, most of blocks are empty now,
So, i guess, there is no issue now ^^

And, Do you have any Protective Update for the steady miner of this coin ?
Due to the rabbit miner, the royal miner of this coin is mining much higher practical diff than them.
I guess, 20 blocks retargetting is too long,

Just thinking .....

Have a nice day

BitQuark Price Index like they have from coindesk for BTC.

Get the BTQ/USD or at least the BTQ/BTC price working on the website.

List of merchants accepting BTQ or at least considering it.

Get more websites, blogs talking about BTQ, maybe some free SEO articles?

Some youtube videos like EBT and Karmacoin or Quark.

More exchanges/votes.

SUPER SALE 10000 BTQ (BitQuark) for 0.24 BTC [very cheap]

BTQ Price Update

85.54101 BTQ = $1 USD

so 10,000 BTQ is worth about $117 and he's selling for about $115 as of 6:23 CST based on active trading at C-CEX.com

Another client is asking us to build something like the coindesk BPI (Bitcoin Price Index) so it's taking away some of our time to finish the Crypto Flea Market.  Good news is we've been getting interest from some of our local merchant clients (a bar and a carpet cleaner) who's interested in accepting BTC.  That's good for BTQ too since the prices are tied together.

nice!  looks like you're coming out with close to the same rates that the flea market guy is listing.

BTQ website is showing 0.00002351 BTC/BTQ and they're showing 86.67755 BTQ = $1 USD and c-cex.com is showing similar so that's 3 sources for rates now.
