Now avaliable: search by address, rich list, daily info, and more...
Join us!

the site is broken and keeps saying "error please no proxy" which I have never and am not using now. also it hangs and does nothing before this wasting a ton of time, which I am sure is sending anyone that used to use it away.

That's good news.  Especially if the community puts up some good items for sale.  Could really help generate buyers and miners.

I have some gift cards I'll list later this week.  FYI, upon signing up I got a security alert in my browser.  Nothing important (something like the https:// certificate didn't match) but just wanted to let you know.  I added an exception and went ahead, but it might put off some people from signing up.

Yeah I gotta re-do the SSL cert for the site. Thanks for the info!

So I created a draft of one of the gift cards.  It has a $15 USD value and I plan to list it with an opening bid of 2500 BTQ (about $5) and a reserve price of 4000 BTQ (about $8.00) which is a good deal, as long as I'm trusted to actually send it LOL.  I mean a USD $15 value for only USD $8 in BitQuark actually is a good deal.

Two questions though, one for the community and one for the dev:

1.  I'm happy to sell these types of gift cards online when I get them as gifts from vendors.  Do you think 60% to 75% of the USD value is fair?  I think it's a great way to help promote the site and bitquark in general.

2.  How the hell do you edit the item in draft mode LOL!!!  I wanted to create a better description but can't figure out how to edit.  Otherwise I'll just delete it and re-create it.

One suggestion, waive the listing fee for the first ad, or cut out the fees for an introductory/promotional period to get more people listing stuff.

Other than that this is just what I've been waiting for from a coin!

Yea that sounds like a good way as you said to promote BTQ. Not sure if you've noticed the "convert" link next to the bid value. It converts BTQ's current value to USD :-)

Not sure if you can edit the auction in draft mode, but you can edit it once it goes live...I will look more into your question though.  Also when you do sell an item, you need to contact the buyer/sell and send them your BTQ address. As of right now the only use of the in-site payment is to pay auction listing fees. I will cut the current listing fees by half ASAP :-)

I'm sure some of you have noticed by now that the pool and website is down. I guess the cold freeze last night killed out the internet terminal. Hopefully it will be back up and going soon. Til then please switch your miners to the other BTQ pool located at http://104.131.69.47/pools/btq/index.php

Thanks,
BitQuark Dev

UPDATE: Internet connectivity restored and website is back up and going!
