I had really high hopes for this coin, but I don't know. Just weird. Didn't feel like it was a good launch.

Guys, I just commited support for Quark mining in my sph-sgminer GPU miner. You can use it to mine BitQuark and all other coins based on Quark algorithm. Only source code is provided. Check out this thread for details: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=475795.0. Speed is ~1.6 MH/s on R9 290.

Where is compiled quarkcoin.cl  ??

Can we get a real pool going that gives you constant steady payouts that you can watch accumulate instead of these possible scam pools?  Always had trouble with these kind, you get a few payouts for an hour, then 4 hours go by and you get nothing.  Really get the feeling most of my work is going into solving blocks for someone else.

Hi guys. Thank you ALL so much for your patience with altcryptominining.com 's p2pool yesterday on launch day.
I certainly did not expect such a huge response so early. the pool peaked at a 350MH/s hashrate which I did not expect and the server simply could not handle, which lead to the crash.
The server has now been ported over to a much more powerful machine and is available on the same URl

Statistiics at http://btq.altcryptomining.com

Point your miners to: minerd -a quark -o p2pool.altcryptomining.com:8112 -u (your BTQ wallet address) -p (anything you like)

everything is working beautifully so lets get behind this great coin.

So the difficulty is higher in less than 24 hours than most coins out there?  What to make of that?  I had 500+ coins multiple times only to see them disappear last night.  Now I have like 50 and I can hardly solve a block?  Does that imply either this coin will be worth a lot of money or this coin will be so difficult to mine it will detract people from doing so?  Will the difficulty drop significantly now that the block chain issue it resolved?

Most coins are scrypt, not quark, and his diff. can't be compared.
Quarkcoin has about 2400 diff, so this one still looks low. It should be more valuable than QRK by number of coins released, but that is only 1 of the factors.

I love me some Quark but I really like the comparative rarity of these. Though, I don't believe there are 'too many' quarks per se...

Your pool is working well now. Smiley

Thanks everyone for staying with this. The launch last night was crazy and had multiple forks take place in the block chain, but now everything looks good and is running smoothly! I will be doing a new client release here soon with the new logo.

Does anyone have a Linux client compiled? If so can you email it to me at bitquarkcoin@gmail.com so I can add it to the website for download.

Thanks Again!!!

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to drop by and let you guys know that we are considering adding BitQuark to our exchange to be traded at launch, which will probably be the biggest launch for any altcoin exchange yet. Since our announcement 6 days ago we already nearly have a 1000 followers and 19 altcoins accepted. Follow us on twitter https://twitter.com/LazyCoins and vote.

I'm hoping to get BitQuark on an exchange ASAP!

I was thinking maybe I set the retargeting to low, but it looks like it's working very well...kinda making the coin somewhat rare?!? I'm hoping BTQ will have a good value, even though I only have 33 BTQ's in my wallet LOL...looks like the dev would be loaded huh? lol
