All of a sudden bitcoin jumped from 6.5k to almost 8k today. I believe those who made panic selling are very disappointed now. This is the reason why i said bitcoin investment is not only about risk taking. Am pretty sure no old member sold thiers at that cheap. Sometimes experience counts. Never think bitcoin is gonna die

Very optimistic point of view which is really relevant for all of us who have not just Bitcoin but as well as alternative coins (altcoins) that we must have a tough hand and emotion to keep on holding into your crypto coins despite of the market being on the red marks because having a patience and seeing such scenario into the positive view makes us to hold into our coins and never be tempted to sell those at the low price just to somehow lessen the loss and recover our capital exerted into it. Better to keep on holding and believing that sooner or later everything will soon to recover and will benefit us once again. Good thing that I do also have an optimistic point of view like you which makes me hold int my Bitcoin for a long period of time and seeing it recover from its loss slowly but surely which makes me convert my fiat and do trade it into Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency I do recently have which is made possible by Darb which is an online wallet that at the same time caters the features of an exchange which enables me to trade and convert my fiat into crypto.

That chart alone would not save you, you should know the market sentiment because if it's bearish, price will continue to fall.
There is no greediness in the red market, greed happens in green market as sometimes we failed to initiate a sell.

Obviously holding is the best option when the market is red and be calm and watch the market closely in order to gain profit from the crypto when market turns to green.  Holding is not global suggestions for crypto lovers.

Your startegy is good and maybe effective during the red market or bear market. Last year ago I have a lot of different kinds of altcoins but I noticed some of the coins decreasing deeply so I decided to do research and I see some of them are no longer potential base on my opinion because the developer already leavd that coin so I decided to sell it even I lose some of my capital.

in 2018 it became a sad moment because so many FUDs and prices were getting lower every day. those who have been trapped deep and even difficult to take BEP can only hold it. But at least in 2019, there was gradual enlightenment of crypto prices starting to rise even though not yet significant

the market is red and cryptocurrency prices are falling so I will buy as much as I can because I do not want to miss the opportunity when the price is cheap, but when you are stuck at a very expensive price you should be able to hold the assets you have because when you sell it maybe will lose.

I guess more likely a pump to 6.2k with a correction back down to 4.5k-4.2k after said pump over the course of the next few months, until the 365 day mark of the next halving. Could even see another double golden cross with a death cross in the middle.

During red markets it is not the right time to sell but to keep holding or buying.  Why people lose money is buying or selling at the wrong time.  If you have really decided to make money from cryptocurrencies market , you have to buy when it is very low or in red and sell when it is in green or getting pump.

I don't hodl throughout the red market. That would be a mistake on the part of a trader. If you have even a little idea about how the trade works, you would know stop losses are great. Cutting the loss is as important as making profits. It's a part of making profits. if you are in for long term and not really interested in short term trading, hodl is not a bad choice either. But I still believe one should cut loss than hodling throughout the bear market in hope of price returning the same level.

We are now in a consolidation period and we finally see some signs of bullishness( does this word even exist?! ) Lol  This is a hold for me and I would never panic sell Bitcoin. Yes the rally seems to be running out of steam. Of course it could go higher, but it's getting riskier and risker to hold onto a long up here. How much short-term upside potential is there vs. the risk of a large drop/retracement?

Well if i buy on high and the price continue drop and is on red i will still hold for a new grow and for a profit, but if i buy at low and the price is good to make some profit i May take decision to sell if i got enough profit.

Even when the market is red there is continued price fluctuation. This can be used for a buying low and selling high process through which small or large scale profiting is possible based on the volume of assets we have. This has got some level of risk with it, and to be on the safer side without getting into any form of risk holding is the only choice.

Although I don't like to sell my coins when the market is down, sometimes I am forced to do it. As of now, almost 70% of my total wealth is in the form of crypto. So in order to minimize the risk, I took a decision back in 2017, to diversify my assets. I am converting 1% of my coins to fiat every month and I am doing this for the past one and half years irrespective of the exchange rates.

We can actually hold until such a time that we've been satisfied of its price, it is our goal and aiming for more profits that to get lose in selling out coins below our buying price. Really a big challenge for us and possible that we can't manage to hold it any longer especially when we are in need of money.

   Kelvinid it`s like that cause we believe in Bitcoin, some of us believe in other coins too. Crypto-currencies are the future. Many of them
will be more expensive in the future, when popularity rise and people massively start to use crypto-currencies.
   This is the old post as Iv4n says. Prices are down but I`m still holding, I didn`t sell any of my coins, and I don`t intend to do so. I have
plans to get my hands on more as I can.
