It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

Is it a good idea to leave your wallet unencrypted connected to the Internet for PoS? It just seems safer to rather keep wallets encrypted or offline. Wouldnt the coins in the open wallets be targets for hackers? or am I missing something?

You can keep it offline just need to connect it once a year to get your 1% :p.

Ok so you dont need your full number of coins in your unencrypted wallet that is connected to the Internet? So I can move it to the online wallet for the network to recognise and then I can move it to offline wallet for safe keeping?

Ok, you're kind of confused on several points here. First, encrypt your wallet! You can unlock for staking any time you want. You can unlock/stake in a way that does not allow a send without re-entry of your password. If your wallet.dat gets stolen, it's still encrypted and they can't do shit with it (I'm assuming you know what constitutes a strong password). Yes, if you're really paranoid, you can keep your wallet offline most or even all of the time. Staking is nice, though. We like stake.

You know what's pathetic? Insulting someone for no reason because he has a question calling him things... why are you so angry? Why do you feel so superior? I don't even want BC anymore if this is how the community is like, thanks, I'd rather go back to Doge even if it's worth 1 Sat because at least they are nice.

Please go to IRC channel of the pool in order to support you. The pool guys are very active there.
http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=%23blackcoinpool&uio=d4

I don't believe that this is the place for these questions because most of us do not know.

Plus these questions are raised and addressed EVERY time there is a price increase. And EVERY time there are no issues. Just crying babies who spread FUD to the real newcommers. Reality, sorry if you got hurt by it.

Would someone be so good and would make an intruduction post so I can post it on some forums from my country. The basic and most important stuff in a few words and with a few links it must be simple so people will read and understand it.

I would do it myself but I don't know which things should I highlight.

People!

Please remember that people offloading BC is NOT a bad thing.

If someone bought at 9k and is now selling at 13k to bring home some profit that's just FINE.

Because it means someone else bought in at 13k and won't likely be selling if it rebounds to 10k.

Turnover/volume is massively important so we should all just be glad for the trades people are doing. Smiley

It's way better to have a coin that's beeing traded rather than everyone just holding on to their investments haping to "go to the moon".

Alrigth bro, look at the 'dudes' post history for a laugh.
1. Not a noob.
2. All his questions are snappy 'why won't anybody help me' questions that really drive a stick up our asses. I don't support that kind of laziness. He is the one wasting resources with an elitist attitude.

Anyway, far too long on this topic. Back to enjoying the price  Cool

What exactly gives you the right to refer to me as a "crying baby"? I ASKED A QUESTION. Isn't that what a forum is for? Is it only for spamming about price increase? I don't know why you think it is FUD when I have a legit question about the pool and bonus payouts. This isn't related to any price increase. And you'd rather insult me over 5 posts instead of simply giving me a straight, friendly answer to my problem over 1 post and be done with it? Something is wrong with you, sorry. I'll make sure not to ask any questions anymore, to not trigger your paranoia or hurt your pride while you're riding on your high horse, are you okay with that?
