when we have no fear...we know it works, the tech is groundbreaking and at many times market leading...

The ironic thing there with cryptsy was in the last flickering candlelight days of the exchange before the roof caved in, Blackcoin was one of the main ways you could withdraw your value out.   The price was wrong, was like 9 something instead of 6 something everywhere else but thats fine I just converted all coins to BLK or most of them and got out of there.  Probably still have some in my wallet now.

Im waiting for Vega to come out before perhaps doing any mining again, wont be out till July end apparently and who knows if its good but maybe as AMD sure cooks up some exotic over engineered gear it seems.   Can always use a general multipool and switch to BLK manually

So great return is imminent, this news about mining is really nice, this will help in restoring of community and price. I have few gpu's i will try it, for sure. I remember how Multipool was big news once, old times are back we can espect now everything.

Ironically the ever increasing competition in order to solve blocks has actually ultimately lead to the formation of pools, and the centralization of the network.
In Proof of Stake the number of tickets you have in the lottery of solving the next block is determined by how many coins you have staking. The probability of solving the next block is essentially however many coins you have staking over however many coins on the entire network are staking. As long as you stake you're actually beating inflation, which is a nice side effect of this method.
Proof of Stake is not only a more elegant solution than Proof of Work, but yields more benefits to those who use and hold the coins. Proof of Stake is also more scaleable, as blocktime is unrelated to security, and can simply be shortened to meet scaleabilty needs, something that Proof of Work cannot do.

Because people still throw their money on hypes. And the next ICO, if hyped enough, collects 34 million in under one minute (BAT). That's almost twice the marketcap of BLK. In less than one minute.

Sadly people rather discuss hypes than technology. There is a lack of discussion about the technology certain alt coins use. It's pros and its cons, it's security advantages and it's risks. To make the coins a better alternative (as in alt-coin) to BTC and improve the technology further. Today it's more about who shills in the brightest colors than who runs the best technology.

People are in love with potential technology. They love to talk about this new coin that cures cancer, beats Kasparov at checkers or sends refugees to Mars or whatever. That's what drives speculation and gambling. It's a horse race. 

It used to be bother me. But these days it seems that coins with strong yet simple value proposals will outlast all the hype. They attract a different kind of people.

These two exchanges pump lange volume or KRW (Korean Wong) into Ethereum for example. Blackcoin has a good cummunity in China, this coin would work in South Korea, too.
We are on Polo / Bittrex, why not South Korea.

Those times are not so long ago and were basically dominated by scammers and their shitcoins.

Btw there is still a multipool that cash out in BLK: Prohashing, it lets you payout in any coin you want, including BLK.
Dedicated blackcoinpool would be better of course, as it focusses mining power on Blackcoin, but at least it's something.
