Clearly BC has a strong community, but I don't get why other people or exchanges outside the community would be interested in a coin that they weren't part of during the first distribution phase (the mining phase).

You must be one of those people who think the only use for crypto is to generate more fiat, and if you can no longer get rich off a coin anymore it is a useless.

the whole thing about blackcoin is to see it as a future investment! not a quick dollar!

No not really, I think ALL alt-coins except the last one standing are basically useless... their only use may be to get more people involved in the crypto-scene... Of, course this could be blackcoin, but what are the odds of that happening.
Until then me and I think most people here just want to make a quick buck. Right now we are bag holders and hope this coin will get pumped just one more time...

This is strange how you can think about coin with 1% inflation like about quick buck.
Most people don't even know what 100%POS with 1%inflation means.
Low inflation means you build position during long time period when others are spamming their coins around making them worth less and less.
Many join coins like 20-30% inflation, HBN 100%+ inflation...
Those folks are for quick buck for sure... They see +10%+20%+100% year,
that strategy is great but ONLY there is one coin around.

Low 1% inflation can save your ass while others like Doge,Lotto need higher buying support.
And people who mine Doge,LTC they are truly for quick  bucks comparing us stake holders to POW miners
is hmm a bit "not good matched"...
If you look at volume at 500sat~ this is only 2-4 BTC while at beginning at 2000 it was 100BTC+
some people have to get some $ for bills and they are forced to sell at ~500 but low volume shows that those people aren't majority.

So that dump is usually happened

All coins will be dumped or pumped in long run but limminted supply can save BC and it should recover
over time when all cheap BC will be eaten by new/old stackeholders.

This is actually my initial point. How do we (yes, I also benefit from this coin to succed!) get people outside this circle to want to be a stake holder when they missed out on the initial distribution phase. That is the million dollar question. Ideology is great but this is a money business so it needs to seem profitable.

Would you rather have 1 Bitcoin in 1 hour or 0.8 bitcoin in 2 seconds?

@NoUseForACoin Okay, so even if all crypto is about is making more fiat for yourself as you seem to believe, no one missed out on anything when it comes to BlackCoin. Even if you had mined from release day with an average 1-2 MH/s mining rig you wouldn't have made more than 10k during the PoW phase. You can easily buy double that amount right now for 0.1 BTC. If you make a purchase with 1 whole BTC you can be in the top 100 addresses. Your posts are doing nothing except creating doubt about the future of BC in the minds of those who are easily manipulated.

Once a coin hits cryptsy it is guaranteed to die. Also, do not manipulate the voting system, because then they will take the coin out of the voting system.

So it seems like MintCoin has screwed up their block reward. It has already hit pure PoS even though there was 4 days left of mining. No word from the devs about this yet.

Hopefully people will see that BlackCoin has had a terrific launch + transition from PoW into PoS. BlackCoin is one of few coins that hasn't had any problems whatsoever the past weeks, or so it seems.

Just like oldmarsh said, BlackCoin is insanely cheap right now. I'm buying more all the time, and the best thing is that miners can't dump the price. No multipools dumping insane amounts.

I also love that I don't have to wait for 20 days for my coins to stake like with MintCoin. That's too much of a wait, people get antsy pretty quickly. BlackCoins in my wallet only has to wait 8 hours..
