This might have something to do with the price surge..

-The cryptocurrency, which was created by Charlie Lee as the ‘silver’ to bitcoin’s ‘gold’, recently gained support by Coinbase which saw approval by Neew York’s financial regulator to offer Litecoin trading in the state. In the process, Coinbase became the first approved digital currency exchange to offer Litecoin trading to New York users.-

I'm keeping mine in cold wallet storage, just in case XD

ETH is not better because its hardfork: the coin. And it's not a digital currency it's a token for a platform.

for sure because because weapons made to self deface cannot be used to attack...
fork or not fork (BTC forked too) at end is better follow good general than bunch of kinds who fight segwit/blocksize/LN for two years...

LTC is backed by China miners and China asic factory while ETH is backed by their platform/technology/usage
looking how miners act with BUged soft in BTC  i believe that is better being backed by ETH platform than miners road.
While LTC/BTC will play dramas about segwit how screw miners ETH will adopt Rained fork of LN and will show those miners how progress should work.
Progress like good technology backing it miners offer high fees in BTC.
For end customer is better use system not backed on miners interest because it always goes against users interest.

At end in this game is better to follow smart guys than greedy miners Smiley

https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/transactions-btc-eth-ltc.html

looks like mining is not thing today that win race.
BTC here is at its TOP 300 000tx/s while ETH have room to rise.
They will fork because blockchain bloat yea who will care evolution needs changes.
LTC same time is at 2500tx/day in BTC traffic jam while EHT jump from 60000tx/s to 100 000tx/s.
People are storming to LTC to use it...
Do you see those users swarming LTC because it is backed by miners
or maybe BTC users switching to ETH ?

Coinbase better add this as opposed to slowwwww BTC.
Hey man where you have been ?
Coinbase added 10x faster ETH...
https://support.coinbase.com/customer/en/portal/articles/2498522-how-do-i-buy-ethereum-

Why they should add outdated tech Cheesy ?

I remember back in 2013 when LTC went a little over 40 USD I am sure it can happen again.

What was the market cap number then?

I am not sure about that.

Market cap on 28 November 2013 hit $1,243,409,505 with a LTC price of $53.10.  Source: http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/litecoin/

At it's current market cap of $346,592,932 there's still huge upward scope, and with Bitcoin's scaling issues and arguments the time is perfect for reliable alts, particularly Litecoin which has consistently stood the test of time as a top rated coin.

yea Litecoin holds over 20-24% of segwit for months...
http://litecoinblockhalf.com/segwit.php

same time ETH is getting nice traction and in BTC traffic jam USERS use ETH not LTC or another BTC clone Maybe this is some China miner disease fear .
According to Andreas LN can be implemented in ETH already while LTC need to get Segwit...
Anyway who cares LTC segwit when they have 2500-3500tx/day  same time ETH jumped from 60 000tx/day to 90 000-120 000 tx/day
https://youtu.be/vPnO9ExJ50A?t=423 check this out about LN Smiley
To be honest ETH just rect in rise BTC/LTC duo - that makes me sad that i have missed ETH train but i admire those guys progress over time vs BTC/LTC stagnation and big Drama 1MB or 2MB over 2 years.
IF BTC won't over  Segwit/BU drama BTC is done.
LTC needs 1st get like 100 000tx/day to go for ETH

he shuld buy Smiley coin had constant usage over 4 years like 2000-4000 tx/day - people are swarming exchanges in BTC traffic jam Smiley for LTC last resort... Oh wait they ar not they went for ETH this time damm current transactions rise is hope that old holders will dump ASAP till buble last.

But LTC can be pumped harder ? I bet some whales have been burned.
China is controling like 80% of LTC mined coins biggest innovations here were scrypt Asics Cheesy or maybe i have forgotten about something.
Segwit has stopped at 20% for me that mean 80% is mostly controlled by one single miner like people are saying.

Maybe that chinaman will create god news soon.

PS: Your self proclaimed silver is mined in 80% in China and controlled there and for 4 years none has given shit to it.

Segwit will happen.

If it wouldn´t Ltc would dwindle down into obscurity. With Segwit there´s a change to get forward. If it fails, well something was done.

Segwit will happen.

If it wouldn´t Ltc would dwindle down into obscurity. With Segwit there´s a change to get forward. If it fails, well something was done.

Lol Litecoin doesn't even need segwit, it is just some crypto political bullshit about LiteCoin having active development, remember Litecoin fixed the problems Bitcoin is having with quicker block times Roll Eyes
