I think the moment Bitstamp launches the Litecoin markets it will be a boom , until that moment all we can do is fill our bags nice and slow , to catch the best price.
0.02 would be a first target to be aimed at.

i have litecoin transaction left pending a day so far with no confirmations Sad one of the many reasons this whole crypto thing in its many current forms will never hit mainstream users

Very strange. I notice that you have been around since 2012, so I assume that you have done all the usual things like making sure that you have the latest Litecoin Core wallet update 0.13.2 (https://litecoin.org/).

yes i certainly know what i'm doing i've been in crypto daily for years, and oddly enough today yet again another one stuck on a different machine and client etc Sad not happy (original one again still pending).

Yes I used LTC to send all my coins out of crypsy and its fast.
Does the Bitmain scrypt miner mean the end of today's hardware?
Will it push the difficulty up monthly and force us an upgrade of mining equipment as it becomes unprofitable. You do see how high the btc difficulty keeps getting pushed as the new aisic miner is created every year for a couple thousand dollars.

Just downloaded Litecoin Core wallet again to import some pretty old wallet.dat files.

I assumed that only port 9333 is required.
I get a lot of outgoing request (dropped by my HW firewall) to port 64666 and incoming requests on port 50262.
All UDP

Depends on the algorithm, I think you can use GPU on litecoin but you'll need more than a few gaming towers worth of GPU to mine anything significant now.

Find a coin with a lower marketcap that you can mine with GPU, also a low difficulty and mine it. If you think the coin is worth it and has a future then hodl as long as you can.

Don't you guys know Litecoin is dead?

Litecoin is more active now than it has ever been. Lots of active developments in the works.

Posts like this are reassuring, because it means that a lot of people probably haven't noticed how much has gone on with Litecoin recently. Once everyone realises, it's going to explode.
