Hi all!

First of all, I truly believe in the long term potential of Litecoin.

However, I'm suspecting the recent surge might be driven by the upcoming fork on Sunday.
If this hypothesis is true, it might not be stupid to take profits before Sunday & buy back in after?

What's your view in this?
Thanks a lot!

just hold them for years to come 100 dollars in a few years. Litecoin will moon  Wink

I'm confused. It's $223 right now. We should go down to moon?  Undecided
don't worry about its price for now
because right now every coin and token price ups and downs confused you
the thing lite coin will go the moon in next year and my point of view and seeing market behave next year lite coin could touched 1000$
so no panic right now and hodl your lite coins.

Someone in Litecoin history has been lost today, or at least I just found out.

Bumped his old thread " Ł as the litecoin "symbol"?" here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=79849.msg30379801#msg30379801

last time i try to get bitcoin cash, i actually invested 10+H if not 20, to get few BTG, when i get it the price was 50% from its high, and the bit also lost ground, so for this reasons, i dont know if i will try to get this free coins, to risky, i actually need to give my computer to repair bcs of the bitcoin gold fork. I dont trust them, but to claim them i think its only exodos wallet apropriate and easy to claim it, and look for video on youtube how to claim free coins later on, i dont have the nervous to get this free coins. i rather sold all to fiat and close margins, and go to ski..lol
and after reading this: https://bitcoinist.com/charlie-lee-labels-litecoin-cash-scam/

no way this is smart, to give private key to someone elses wallet,...they must be kidding...lol

Yup, this fork won't even be recognized by Charlie and Litecoin supporters! I remember a few weeks ago Charlie said in a post on Twitter that all eventually forks are scam: "Litecoin Cash, Litecoin Plus, Litecoin *... all scams trying to confuse users into thinking they are Litecoin. This also applies to all Bitcoin forks trying to confuse."

you would extract/dump your priv key, then after the fork move your coins to a new address that way all they would be getting is an empty private key that only proves that you held X amount of LTC at the forking block......there is no risk this way...if there is a risk in this method someone please correct me!

With LitePay Litecoin has a chance to be  one of the first cryptocurrency to get the main function of money - means of payments. Ironically, Litecoin was a technical playground for Bitcoin and the first of them implemented all the necessary improvements but thereby became technically more advanced than bitcoin. For those who believe in the dominance of the Crypto-currencies in the future, today it is a best investment.

As far as I know there is no risk if you first move your coins to another wallet. As long as you keep in mind that the wallet for which you hand over your private key is forever compromised. I created a temporary wallet and transferred  my coins to this wallet. After the fork I transfer my coins back to my normal wallet and use the private key of the temporary wallet to claim the Litecoin Cash coins. This costs me 0.002 LTC, so about 45 cents. I’m willing to pay that to keep my coins safe AND be able to claim my LCC coins.

Whether Litecoin Cash is a scam or not depends on your definition of a ‘scam’. We know LCC is not connected to LTC, but we don’t know if they are trying to rip you off. I think they are just using the name for promotional purposes and are not trying to scam LTC owners. But I can understand Lee not being happy about the use of the name. I’m actually surprised that this is legal. I know that it has happened several times before with Bitcoin. Do trademark laws not apply in the crypto world?

I regret very much that when I sold half of my coins in the summer, especially after the news with litepay, I can not even imagine what level the price of litecoin can reach in the spring...

Charlie Lee has announced the launch of a new payment service called Litepal.

LitePal is the new payment processing service for Litecoin which will make it “easier for merchants to accept LTC”,

Litecoin founder Charlie Lee said on Twitter. LitePal is expected to be released later this year, although a specific date has yet been confirmed.

According to the website, users will be able to use the service with Bitcoin, Litecoin, PayPal, or Western Union.

LitePal said on Twitter: “LitePal is a Litecoin-first payment processor.

fees are expected to be “bone chillingly low”, according to litepal.io - the official website of the new payment processor.
