Can Cryptocurrency Stand Without Bitcoin?

Bitcoin is not useless, it is one of the few cryptos that is really controlled by general consensus, it may not be the most efficient in terms of speed and other factors but will certainly be around for ages, if not for anything, for its sentimental value

Yes bitcoin is the largest market cap and Bitcoin is part of world economy, now days more people knows about bitcoin.in 2020 bitcoin will be in top 3 in worlds largest currency list,Lot of people using bitcoin transactions, without any third party we can transfer money in low fees.and no one can track the transactions.when next bubble happen the bitcoin price will reach in top level again.wait and soon One day we will see that i am sure just 9 year of beaing and BTC is 6th now, step by step we will see that very soon it just need some more time 4-5 years or more.

What makes you think another altcoin can displace bitcoin of its number one position on CoinMarketCap? You again cause bitcoin of not having many uses. What type of usage do you need that bitcoin doesn’t offer but another altcoin does?
I think you need to revise your knowledge about bitcoin. There’s a lot you need to know and the internet can help you out.

Well we do not know, but one thing for sure is that there is one crypto that will lead if the bitcoin is not invented. Other currency has its own value and as we can see they are invented and always have a new one. I think this can stand even without bitcoin.

I am sure bitcoin had good trust in there investors because it is the oldest in crypto currency market & investors had good earnings through bitcoin. although some coins trying the copy of bitcoin but they could not successful in the market & breaking trust of investors in bitcoin.

The cryptocurrency market will be chaotic and prices will all go down. Maybe some coins will die because bitcoin disappears but bitcoin slowly changes with other coins that have more benefits than bitcoin. The market will also be stable if many investors are still investing in bitcoin and other crypto.

I'm not sure the cryptocurrency will survive without bitcoin, the altcoin market trend is not good and there are not many enthusiasts, there are also many issues about price manipulation by the company. but the altcoin will continue to grow even though it remains under the shadow of bitcoin, both will support each other.

I think that will be able, just another coin will take its place on the prospect's coin. But it is unlikely that the bitcoin will go somewhere, because it is a very popular and promising coin, it can be assumed that from it all began, this coin, like the father of other coins.

maybe yes, however bitcoin is the good to invest with since it has a good value and surely its price rises up in a higher percentage annually, a big impact to those who are trading and also who are engaged in a buy and sell at a market. But if there is no bitcoin, cryptocurrency may also stand without it.

The cryptocurrency market evolved with btc as its mother coin and most coins are paired on the market with btc so I think it wont be easy for altcoins to stand alone without BTC and that's real even looking now at the current market.

Bitcoin considered as the mother of all cryptocurrency that is why I don't think that we can stand without the use of bitcoin, bitcoin will always lead the crypto until the end and that is for sure, since it is almost a decade since it is standing by itself and no one can replace it nor near its place now so no doubt that without bitcoin crypto will stand on their own.

Other people don't realize that Bitcoin is the backbone of everything in this crypto world and almost every single alternative crypto currencies that has been created or running for years are dependent on Bitcoin, Why? Because of this crypto currency called Bitcoin and what the OP said that it is useless is been here for over nine years and its system called the Blockchain is never been hacked by any hackers all over the world for over nine years and every coin or token that is sprouting all over is just a copy of Bitcoin with some added features. And believe me, even the OP himself is also using Bitcoin even he named it useless lmao.

In knowing the technology behind cryptocurrencies or also known as blockchain technology, it is very hard to imagine cryptocurrency or digital world without bitcoin because as we know,  it is the forerunner of cryptocurrency. In my own opinion and from what I believe,  altcoin would have a very hard time to survive without bitcoin. One of the reason why is that you need to convert to bitcoin first before you can convert it into altcoin and without bitcoin, altcoin would have a hard time. Well, we really do not know what will really happen,  we must just thank that bitcoin was invented because without bitcoin,  there will be no altcoins.

I think cyrptocurrency and bitcoin are a strong entity so even though bitcoin and cryptocurrency stand alone it will certainly not be as strong as it is now, so in my opinion cryptocurrency and bitcoin will be more developed if standing together. Maybe it could still stand even if without bitcoin. I meaned, cryptos now are being known worldwide and a lot of people already have knowledged what's the function of this coins. It could still generates more transactions online and can still make the blockchain industries as a good choiced for investments.

For me bitcoin plays a huge role on the success of cryptocurrency. Bitcoin has the biggest influenced for it is the most popular of all cryptocurrency. I don't think it will be easy for the cryptocurrency market to stand without bitcoin , since we can't say that it will be impossible for the cryptocurrency market to remain stable without bitcoin but if it will happen then surely people will not remain in trust with the cryptocurrency market .
This is only bitcoin which have full trust and full of potential of investors where people are investing Thier money to make earnings .
And if due to any reason bitcoin will get out from its position and another will take place the first position then there will a strange type of process will take place , people will get into mentilty that another another coins will take place at number one position , so it will be better for us to buy another coin in bulk amount .
And this will result into a big fluctuations in the cryptocurrency market with every coin , so that condition will not remain better to make trading with particular coin .
So here it will always better for us that we should remain with the one king coin ( bitcoin ) and another altcoins .

Yes, I believe that this is possible, but the market will suffer very much. Literally yesterday, bitcoin lost several percent of its value, and on the rest of the crypto currency it was much worse, they lost about 5-10 percent.

Just because bitcoin was the first cryptocurrency, does not mean it will always remain #1 (think of Hi5, MySpace and now Facebook), so I do think it is possible for an alt to take over (even though it might take some time). I think for this to happen, said alt would need to be used for everyday transactions, payments, etc.
