How does that look suspicious, using the groestl algo i get close to 17Mh/s each R9 290X i have 18x 290x and 2x 290 (NON X)....They don't expect everyone to have only 2x 290x..

Edit: I have sent a email, well see where we go from here.

Running SMOS with 7950's, should I be using groestl?

I prefer Groestl, but you can also use Skein.

These are the default settings for sph-sgminer using Groestl (I think these are based of r9 290, not sure)  :
Code:
/sgminer -k myriadcoin-groestl -o <host>:<port> -u <user> -p <password> -I 19 -g 4 -w 64

Anyone can post configuration file example for cgminer? I did everything according to this guide https://www.weminecryptos.com/forum/topic/540-guide-how-to-mine-litecoins-from-scratch-both-cgminer-and-guiminer-version/ I even looked up settings for my HD7970. But after I launch cgminer 3.7.2, I get something like this: JSON error. configuration file couldn't be loaded. I am using stablehash.com.

you have a syntax error in your config file , go to www.reddit.com/r/litecoinmining and search 7970 config file, although I wouldn't fiddle with configs yet, I'd use a direct commandline startup.

Someone is buying large amounts of Myriad over the last few weeks.

I did a comparison of volume versus market cap and Myriad is proportionally near the top in terms
of volume as a percentage of market cap. This has been going on for awhile. And everyone remembers
the peak from March 9th which took MYR up to something like $250,000 in volume in a day.

If you compare MYR to other coins there are few that have that kind of volume.
Someone has a plan. And this coin is one of the most innovative out there.
And others are noticing and buying as well.

80    Myriadcoin    $ 123,532    $ 0.0018    69,392,000 MYR    $ 10,651    +27.14 %

From coinmarketcap.com ^^^ That's about 8.7% of the market cap value in volume.
Compared to coins around it listed by volume you can see most of them have higher market caps.

And pulling a few big name coins :

22    Vertcoin    $ 2,308,936    $ 0.86    2,699,550 VTC    $ 46,949    +2.82 %
^^^ 2%

6    Dogecoin    $ 47,952,293    $ 0.00078    61,653,794,165 DOGE    $ 1,910,612    +2.98 %
^^^ 4%

23    Mintcoin    $ 1,519,169    $ 8.1e-05    18,676,089,164 MINT    $ 84,012    -5.29 %
^^^ 5.5%

MYR has most coins beat. Feel free to compare it to others as well.
There is large buying going on and it has not stopped once.
If I had to predict the next 10-20x increase coin (of which I have owned nearly all) I would say this is likely one.

Thanks Smiley

I have forwarded the info to Mintpal in the hopes they will see that listing MYR would be a perfect fit for them.
I would recommend asking mintpal support e-mail to fast track MYR to the exchange as their "pick".

Mintpal is a fantastic exchange and I think it would give Myriad the fire it needs to break out.

Feel free to vote of put some BTC down as well at :
https://www.mintpal.com/voting

But I am hoping they pick it right out of the list. It really is the obvious choice right now.
Innovative and has amazing sales that will continue "to the moon" in the near future.

Question: if I mine the crap out of MYR with SHA256 ASIC, do the other difficulties go DOWN?

I notice that the algos are roughly equally distributed on the blockchain, and I doubt that people are mining with that even of a distribution...

Could this make the coin vulnerable to some weird exploit similar to the rumored attack on Kimoto's Gravity Well?

nope, if you watch it hourly like I do (yah I know ... I need a life) you would see discrepancies of even more than 100% between algos profitability

Those fluctuations in difficulty seem broader than with other coins - could there be that many people "hopping algos", or is somebody gaming the alleged KGW  exploit?  Also, the fluctuations look periodic instead of random or linear...

Quote
Each proof of work algorithm has its own independent difficulty.
Any algorithm can find the next block.
All the algorithms use the same difficulty adjustment method.

This is fairly clear - so diff adjusts per algo, such that roughly the correct number of coins is mined each day for each algo. Sometimes you read it, but you don't understand it the first time...

Finally figured out the configuration file. It seems that third line of the code should have started with "cgminer.exe" not "cgminer". However I am still displeased. While the settings I tried I only get 400+Kh/s other get 700+ Kh/s with the same settings.

I'm running 7950's and 7850's. They both have no problems with scrypt, skein, or groestl. My personal preference is skein, mainly due to the fact that it is usually the most profitable of the three. I do bounce around depending on which is the lowest diff/greatest payout at the time. That's usually skein and scrypt when I check. While I love groestl, it's usually well behind skein in payout.
