Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Some coins just showed up as confirmed at the dashboard - myrgroestl.stablehash.com. I have 231.065203 for 24 hours mining. I really hope this is not the final coin count...

Skein pools are dead ATM, constant loosing connections with shares naturally... moving to another algo, qubit or scrypt. Since Groestl is also in problems, mined there in the past 24h with 0 balance Smiley
