Calm down guys. The price went down and back up before. All coins do it. They are working their asses off creating a FPS game. Also have jobs too. If you see a mistake then just PM the dev and he will change it when he has time. Once the game is released this will only keep increasing in value. Yes there will be hiccups on the way but that happens in everything in life.

If you got your coins free then there can be no complaints. If you bought them and you're annoyed at the price then it was your decision to buy. This is an investment not a pump and dump down to 1 Sat coin like most turn out to be.

It's just a blip and we will recover. We have a strong community. Don't listen to the derampers who want the price down. Bitcoin had it too in the early days.

I am glad I am entertaining some people though

The thing is we are working to get this PoS thing rolling. That is
also why the exchanges have frozen C2 at our request, until the
issue is fixed and the blockchain upgraded. We will keep you guys
updated.

And honestly I find Joel511 and his real life threats almost as pathetic as his attempt to pump the price on bter.

You are absolutely correct. However, for a crap coin with serious technical flaws, it should die. All altcoins are essentially experiments. There are WAY too many junk coins right there. All coins are open to attack; only the strongest coins will survive. The community will learn precious lessons from those failed coins. To some extent, the attacker actually helps us to build a healthier cryptocoin community.

Theoretically, for this specific coin, 51% attack is indeed possible. HOWEVER, I don't believe someone can earn 25BTC by attacking this coin; the market depth is so shallow. Perhaps he just wants to make everyone panic selling and buy some cheap coins  

For the time being, I would suggest that C2 implements mandatory transaction fees to give miners some incentive.

I know it's the least of your/our worries atm, but I'm just chiming in to say that the giveaway fund is still safely with me. However, my internet's been flaky for the past week so no further giveaways have been done. I've returned here to see all this 51% news and will now hold off indefinitely until it's sorted.

On that note, correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't PoS require that "interest" is paid to holders of aged coins? Where is this interest going to come from considering that Coin2 is 100% premined?

Maybe Peercoin is the place to look for help with a transition from PoW to PoS. They started as purely PoW but are slowly transitioning to PoS as more coins are mined and currently uses a combination of the two proofs with an end goal of pure PoS. Given that C2 is already 100% premined, perhaps they could help with bypassing the 2 proofs combo and get C2 straight to PoS?
