Just seen on Mintpal re VRC attack:-
Were you staking your VRC? No. With the exception of Coin2.1 (by developers request) we do not stake any PoS coin. The staking process is CPU intensive on a large wallet and makes for an accounting nightmare. All of our wallets are started with the staking=0 flag set in the configuration.
Is this true? with their volume my staking weight shouldn't be nearly 1/3 rd.
I seem to remember that mintpal stake a percentage of their C2 for a short time each day. I know that my desktop CPU takes a big hit when staking so I could well imaging that it could realistically take one similar PC for every one or two coins staking which would by unsupportable. A more modern PC could no doubt do more but still would be a major issue for an exchange containing so many coins. I'm staking 700k C2 and using 4% CPU of a shitty little i3 CPU, mintpal don't want to stake the coin because MintPalJay is a lazy bum who won't cut into his ill gotten profits to secure the block chains of the coins he holds. (note I said he holds them because you don't own anything one an exchange) It's not an accounting problem either, it's a laziness problem and a code problem. MintPalJay lacks the ability to code a program which will detect stake rewards and allocate as such (wow, n00b). Vericoin also was NOT a blockchain attack, IT WAS A HOLE IN MINTPAL SECURITY which allowed someone to make off with 30% of Vericoin meaning.......... MINTPAL DOESN'T USE COLD STORAGE WALLETS OR REDUDENT SYSTEM WALLETS! Basically MintPalJay is a rank amateur and MintPal is going to die sooner rather than later.

Man this game should be way over the crypto-world concept.
My only real fear is going to be the unstable market price of crypto for future gamers.
If there was a way to make it that c2 become a kind of fixed price coins and taking it off from the crypto world, making a brand new platform for gamers to purchase c2 from a unique market where c2 will be worth the same for ever.
This might be silly but its just a quick concern of mine, do you guys know how you will handle the c2 price for the gamers? Lets say c2 is worth 0,005$ or 0,5$ or 1$, tomorrow it could be worth 0,000001$ because of the instable crypto world. As a gamer i dont want to win 100 games of coc and still be at loss because of an unstable market, what can we do about this?
Either you misunderstood the projected goal Coin2 has evolved or confuse between the decentralised and centralised crypto currency such as Coin2 to goldcoin as example ( not the crypto goldcoin ). Although Coin2 may not be the only decentralised crypto coin prime focus in gaming but it's the 1st that really try to materialise such project. Key role is get the CoC off the ground, the next project will follow then next. to attract interest of other gaming developers. Everyone could easily create a cryptocoin, centralise or decentralise. The hardest part is to get the community involve help create a larger eco system down the future pipeline.OK. Try my best in a hurry hectic schedule to point this out this important thing many of us may not aware of. I forgot to add that larger market capitisation leads to a stabler price, so, the more people involved, the more money involved, the stabler the price.

Just give me a few more days. I've something get Coin2 going : the PR and communication area. So far, I think Kings and others doing a pretty marvel tasks, even though a little like a multitasking octopus.
1st, I'll layout the concept to Glen and Nirgo as details as possible. ( not a secret mission) then Will set a format simplify thing a little. Hopefully, will be able to have active ppl like Jan, Vernon and others involve to form a volunteering team get Coin2 to full fledge PR exposure for real.
Funding format will be on the table in between. All the technical, programming manpower issues will be discuss.
Cheer.
P/S: Coin2 will eventually going to transform how gamers select their games and change the path of gaming concept.
Formally volunteering to do the writing/communication for startJoin page.

Just checked my m/c and it's showing CPU usage of 52% for the wallet, which is pretty normal for it. But as I said the m/c is getting on. Running an E8500 processor.

MintPal hot wallet is staking with a few millions, but cold wallet is not staking. I don't know about Bter and other exchanges wallets.
The PoS vulnerabilities have been patched within the new source code.
Actually we are mining to secure the PoW side of the coin, then it will be very safe.
Hi hammers, Just for the record I found a more definitive post on mintpal staking. Seems my memory failed me. Too many birthdays I think.
