People found out by by means of e-mail converstaions with Bitmine, at least in the early days.  I don't know if they are still giving this information out.

I haven't received my miner yet (nor tracking information) but I did get e-mail today that my order was 'complete', whatever that means.  I'm a reasonably early order - see the order list post.

Yep, that's right. Intake through the front grill and exhaust through the two fans in the back.

I strongly suggest adding a fan pulling air through the PSU or additional fans in front blowing in before overclocking; with the default fan setup my PSU gets too hot to touch in 20C ambient. Also, you really must run with the top lid on or the heatsinks are bypassed in the airflow.

Just curious (hopefully not long before I find out for myself) but what kind of PSU did the 600GH unit come with?

Also how long was it between getting notification that your order was 'completed' and receiving tracking info?

The 3-module unit came with a Super Flower SF-1000P14XE (http://www.super-flower.com.tw/products_detail.php?class=2&sn=8&ID=62&lang=):



 90%+ efficiency and 83A of 12V. It works just fine on 120V; I'll have power draw numbers up later.

It was about 24 hours after my order went to "Complete" that I got tracking numbers.

Hmm, I wonder how plausible it might be to take the PSU out and run it entirely externally to the case, to avoid the airflow issues...  But your idea of adding fans in front probably makes more sense.

I even don`t know an ATX-PSU with more than 1600W 
Typically bitmine again - finally designed a product never can expect stated hashrate.

in 2-3 months you wont be even able to mine enough to cover your electricity costs (and thats in low power mode), forget ROI (thats already way out of reach, and don't even dream about profit)
your best option is probably to ask for refund and buy btc directly.
basically you funded research and development of the product for free and you won't see a dime for it.

Right the fuck on. Miners actually have a great deal of control over the price. We produce the coins. As long as there is a real world demand for them, we can and do set the price. Or at least it's floor.
