Just a thought, as I'm no programmer.....
This coin was meant to be designed for kids / newcomers - and everyone with a bit of power has punished this - there's no way to stop them.
So, my question is, is it possible to:
A) set up a wallet (if solo mining) that has a MAXIMUM hash rate that will be accepted (lets say 150kh/s) - the rest is essentially useless B) any pool participating, has a similar setup, where any overflow of hash over 150kh/s, is directed to a 2nd backup coin
I know that option B could be circumvented by multi-signups, but lets face it, most people won't be bothered to set up multi-accounts, and the fact that anyone with a decent rig won't even mine this because of the restriction, give's it the credibility that the OP was looking for.
Maybe something like this already exists (although I've not seen it out there) - maybe it's not easy to co-ordinate, but I'd be interested in anyone's views on this.
Spot on. While it's exactly what this coin needed, I have absolutely no doubt the dev couldn't care less about it. His 21 millions coins won't go in the kids pockets, it'll go on the first exchange this coin is accepted in. I like this idea but I think you are dreaming. Piggy coin will just be some pump and dump shit as usual. nerdz with tremendous hashpower will take as much profit as they can then switch to another new coin #classicscenario

Dream about it too, a coin with a maximum limit of 150/200kh/s ... why not?

Your client must not be synced. Current diff is 17 and the block stats on the pool page show it hasn't gone below 15 in over an hour http://piggy.chickenstrips.net/index.php?page=statistics&action=blocks

Please guys, don't make this unfounded accusations, pump-and-dump accusations, dev incompetence, you're bringing some really bad vibes to something that is suppose to be fun and involving. I'm doing giveaways, bounties and other things to give the premine, yesterday I gave a lot of coins on irc and it's happening today again! Anyone mining this coin?

Wait some minutes and let it connect to the network.

I am one proud father (always have been). Thanks you PiggyCoin!
Poor kids... why didn't you let them mine something with value? Dogecoin, Vertcoin etc. Now they hold a worthless shitcoin and in few months their wallet wont even sync anymore... They die very fast now, Belicoins value is under 1 Satoshi already, released a few weeks ago

Every coin will get dumped now and then, we have to create a strong community so it won't kill us. Not a greedy one, we have to get a group of people who believes in this coin and who will stick with it in the high's and low's.

It's called a learning experience. Something kids don't get a whole lot of these days.
