The reason why you are HODLing is you had high hopes for the alts. You got hopes for it because you know to yourself that this alts had potential and worth the wait in the future.

One should remember that Market is Volatile. It is unpredictable, anything could happen at any given time.the price value may goes up and goes down dependent on the behabvior of the investors in the trading market. with a lot of issues confronting the Crypto Currency Digital Transaction in the market today. it is really a very stressful if we do not understand the market movement. we all need a lot of PATIENT until we see the full recovery of Crypto market. Market often correct itself after the market glitz.

Taking a critical look at the history of crypto market, it shows altenating periods of bull and bear markets. This means that the market cannot go bear forever. Irrespective of how long it takes, Bitcoin and altcoins will certainly recover as new people begin to utilize crypto as they become familiar with its concept.

I believe that by the arrival of the next bull market, all cryptocurrencies will have a lot of room for growth.

The alt coins recovery depends now on what they put on the table, good working project , apps , updates and exchange listings . These will give them an egde when the bull run starts. The value they can build up now is the key to their increase

I think I feel you mate about that even we have different currency that we are holding it is very sad for me that to see my currency instead to grow this year it still dropping his value. And I think it also because of the new currencies that are being launched this year and the coming months after the end of the year.

Of course, it is possible to restore them, because they primarily repel from bitcoin, so when it starts to grow, other altcoins will start to pull together!

there is still a chance to recover but do not know when, the market is still often up and down and conditions are still poor. You have to wait patiently until conditions improve because I'm sure the market will return to normal. high potential altcoins will benefit you in the future.

I think we will see some recovery at some point, but I don't think we will see the all time highs happened in January anytime soon.

Everything is possible in crypto world. You just have to keep continue and be patience in your work. You are holding limited coin. I am holding more tokens from yours. I am holding PKT more than one years but not selling as its price is so low and i know i will hit its original price. In this way every token has its roadmap. When it fulfill its full roadmap sure it will hit. Best of luck.

Not totally all the altcoins can recover their value in the market only some of them can recover if they still continue promoting their token to the community and investors they have a possibility that their token will be more valueable in the market.

Only alts with legit product & great vision will recover the vallue, maybe not recover at the ATH level but at least they can survive from this market. I hope that in the near future we will see some healthy chart & not only pump & dump things.

I believe it will be able to recover, especially every coins that has a good  quality. and also it has many support from the community.
Another reason would be the market volume, as long as the demand on the coin is high, there is most likely will survive.

actually, we cannot predict the price of tokens in the market. the more new ico that appears, the more new tokens will appear in the market. I think when the market price is down like this, it would be better if we hold the coins that we have. I still believe that the price of crypto will rise again, it only takes the time.

I hope you don't buy at the peak, because maybe many altcoins will find it difficult to gain momentum like last year.

I believe in this that the altcoin will recover in price, this is just waiting for the time and certainly the time needed is not for a moment, when the market is experiencing a downturn like now of course all will affect all coins too, keep calm and don't panic too much, all will run normally again

Will altcoins ever recover their value? Yeah, In the recent time, the coin market is unstable. The downtrend is continuously. The price is not good. But the crypto is modern trend, that is our future. Trust it! I beleive it. It will be back.

Code:
I think most of the Altcoin on the exchange market moves to follow the price of Bitcoin, so now the price of Altcoin is still below the standard price, because we see that the price of Bitcoin has also experienced the same thing since March last month, the price of Bitcoin has declined followed by Altcoin, but if Bitcoin prices rise, I think the price of Altcoin will recover.

Almost all types of Altcoin are guided by the price of Bitcoin for now so if the price of Bitcoin increases it will be felt by other types of Altcoin and if the price of Bitcoin drops then all types of Altcoin also feel it. hope Bitcoin will return with prices last year.
Altcoin all will enhance its development into a coin that is so valuable and so much experience of restoration to improve more and more of the development that brings valuable coins in the future. with the valuable capable of generating many more enthusiasts who support the progress.

And second option is for you , that , buy should buy more amount of the assets that you have at low price , because that will result into average price of the coins that you bought in very starting .

Unfortunately not all will but that doesn't mean you should just liquidate all of your alternatives

If you have too many high risk assets in your portfolio that don't have a way to increase their usability and adoption it might be a good idea to diversify those into lower risks ones that do

Apart from that you could wait for another market wide pump should one occur again but that's more speculative
