I'm not sure about this year but I'm sure this will happen. ETH is a leader, it's etalon of cryptocurrency, the most of the current cryptocurrencies or tokens are built on its blockchain or used its concept. Of course, ETH has a lot of problems but soon, most probably next year we will see solutions to these problems with a release of Ethereum 2.0

Ethereum having seen its all time high at almost 2000$ shows it has strength of bouncing back even with all of the negative news the main stream media is showcasing. Personally i would feel betrayed if I dont get ethereum at this point in time becuase it is almost seeming like its the lowest you can get.
