Just like an account where one's fiat currencies are kept so also is wallet where digital assets or cryptocurrencies of crypto lovers are kept. Can the wallet be vulnerable to hacking and if possible how can that happen? If you have experienced it before, I want to learn from your experience.

Every wallet is vulnerable if you expose its private key. If you want to be sure your funds will be kept safe, use a paper or hardware wallet. This way your private keys will not go on Internet if you're not careful.

Yes wallet hacking is very possible. There are many instances when this happens; when you import your private key, mnemonic phrase or keystore to phishing sites.  Another instance is in case of DNS spoof when the wallet is attacked by some high tech hackers. Also, storing private keys etc online for example using email, when the email is hacked, definitely the hacker gets access to your wallet. Let's be cautious please.

Very possible. but the average is from our carelessness in using it. because the development of security is actually quite good but there is an average hacking due to negligence from people

Unfortunately yes. Every day more and more cases of fraud. And from this no one is insured. So be careful. Reliable wallets are now very few.

I think the wallet will only be hacked if the owner of the wallet makes a mistake, such as installing a program that has a virus that endangers the wallet or input the PK into a phishing site.

Definitely yes. If you're using a third party wallet, it's more vulnerable in hacking since the private key is not kept by you. There is nothing impossible to hacker, thus there is nothing wrong if you'll br overprotective towards your fund.

I especially bolster the appropriate responses gave as of now. Probably the wallet ought to be sheltered yet like whatever else programmers develop thus does innovation so one can never bar the likelihood of being hacked however right now it would be costly and would require part of exertion.

So, which third party wallet we are talking about. MEW, Metamask and MyCrypto could be considered as a third party wallet and they don't even keep your private key.
it's a centralized wallet that usually provided by the exchanges that is vulnerable to hacking.

Now you don't have to worry about security anymore. There is now a MEWconnect wallet, which is quite similar to the Ledger Nano S hard wallet system and the security level has increased a lot more than MEW wallet.
If you don't have a lot of money to buy hard wallet Ledger, you can use the free MEWconnect on Myetherwallet.

As long as you're not clicking a phishing site your wallet wouldn't be hack by anyone for sure. Unless you give some important details about your password or private in your wallet to someone else here. But only stupid person can do that and don't have a normal thinking, sorry for the term. Like for example MEW, there is an instances that hacker entered to this type of wallet who usually clicked the phishing site. So beware of this site Smiley

It is possible specially in some cases where the owner is wreckless. We should keep our wallets and private keys in private. It would be a risk if we'll share it wih untrusted people. Everything is hackable these days so we must be aware and be wise.

This is possible if you do not comply with the security rules, but about the cases of hacking, I suppose you have not heard, but who knows everything is possible. Although I am sure that if you follow the safety rules, everything will be fine.

Yes, wallet hacks is also prone in crypto verse, here are few examples on how a wallet can be compromised:

Quote
1. If you click un-trusted souce. Usually you will get it thru your email, its called Phishing
Mostly it happens on the wrong links of exchange, you should keep it on your bookmark or search it on coinmarketcap if it is in there!

Quote
2. if you click something on the internet.

This is the reason you should use your computer for cryptocurrency only and separate the other intentions.

Quote
3. google ads-on for crypto. Sometimes hackers also exploited vulnerabilities on those software
TRUE! always have your guard on!

Quote
4. you used phishing site. There's a lot of cloned sites that imitate MeW so be careful.
Myetherwallet
Forkdelta
IDEX
ETHERDELTA

they have so many fake links.

Quote
5. Of course sharing your privatekeys to someon

Never do this!

In my opinion, hacking of the wallet often happens. one of the results of hacking the wallet because it is not careful in guarding it, for example we open a fake website and we put the pivate key on that website, unconsciously our walllet has been hacked.

90% of the hacking wallets actually are not hacking, but lost or compromised private keys, and the fault of the owners themselves. Be vigilant and keep your keys in a safe place.

In my opinion, it is very difficult to hack wallet, if you take some precautions then you can make it even more difficult. In my life, i have never experienced hacking.

Hacking wallet is generally difficult but stealing data from the client is far more easier, so many people can be lured easily and it's sad to know the fact that the client will more likely be blaming the wallet just like what happened to MEW long time ago where most of the people that get hacked are phished with the word of free ETH.

The primary task is to ensure the security of the device you are working with, since any wallet can be hacked if your work system is compromised.
