I imported the faucet wallet into my windows wallet and something strange.  My balance shows 0.165836.

Here's the transactions list from the window's qt.

What's weird is the linux wallet with the same wallet.dat files shows 42,297.58039100

The transactions looks ok until that last one on 5/6 -33046.88333

I was away most of June, so I didn't check on it much, but it seems like it was working fine.  I even got a couple dispenses right after I upgraded to 1.7

Maybe my wallet has been hacked?  or am I still on the wrong fork?

You are definitely on correct chain. Yes, maybe you were hacked.

great video

Hemp Coin - The Official Crypto Currency of the Hemp Industry

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WNETQeiEU-Q

It is important that we all tag youtube videos with the same stuff.

- HempCoin (no one else tags their videos with this. Extremely useful to relate our videos together. This allows other hempcoin videos to be seen in the related videos. Make users watch them all)
- THC (a good tag that combines our videos and also branches out into other videos)
- Hemp Coin (vague term. Not very useful but can be used to branch out a bit into other hemp/money videos. Allows unrelated videos into our related videos if used incorrectly.)

Youtube/g+ is starting to like #hashtags so let's always put this at the bottom of all the video descriptions:
#hempcoin #thc #hemp #thehempcoin

Also make sure to have HempCoin in the title. Write a good description that includes topics that you would like the video to branch out into. It is very important to have hempcoin videos appearing in other videos related video list. This little amount of time spent creating a good title/description for each youtube video leads to many new viewers to the videos.

I would be careful mentioning crypto or cryptocurrency type words many times in the description. These words will lead to lots of competition and allow other cryptocoins who are skilled at youtube video posting to branch into our videos. We do not have a large enough video collection to compete to compete with crypto words. Maybe in a few months we will.

I think you are right.  I rescanned the wallet and reloaded into the linux wallet, now it's the same amount.

I just don't know how they did it.

I noticed the wallet file size on the linux side was almost 20 times larger than after I rescanned the wallet in windows.

I guess I should create another wallet, and think about moving servers.

It sounds like the faucet pushed the coins out possibly by a bot. send your address and I will toss you some more THC

1GH/s is a TON of Hash. We got to get the word out.

Lets take a look at this article and see what we can do to step up the media. Its all about getting folks to use it.  How can we be better here?

http://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/news/potcoin-review-the-coin-to-help-facilitate-legal-cannabis-transactions/2014/07/31?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=potcoin-review-the-coin-to-help-facilitate-legal-cannabis-transactions

Also maybe we can start a thread in the news forum here:

http://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/bitcoin-forums

We can send some tips here:

Exclusive News Tip?

Send it to david.parker (at) cryptocoinsnews.com

Also if anyone knows any other creative way to get this in from of other miner groups

After getting in touch with David Parker, Rick Gillis from Crypto Coin News got in touch with me today.  He asked if I was interested in doing an interview and said he would send the questions after I confirmed interest.

I responded back and let him know I'm interested so I should get a list of interview questions soon.

He will be doing a "Random Coin of the Day" article on Hempcoin.

I'm starting to get some things together for cryptocoin news.

If the coin devs can message me their first and last names (if they wish to have them in the article).  I know Tim is Hempcoin but don't know your last name.  Also, if you guys have titles for yourselves suck as "lead coin developer" or whatever, please send me that.

Also, can the community members that have created projects for hempcoin please message me with your name if you would like to be mentioned as well as the project you are working on and link to it.  It would really help me a lot so I don't have to sift through the thread to find everything and I don't want to miss anyone. I know there's the faucet, the html5 wallet, the new website.. but it feels like I'm missing something.

Crypto Coin News has asked for the names of the developers. I feel that in addition to sending them the coin devs names it would be great to mention the community members that are actively developing for the coin.  I'm not saying this because I want to toot my own horn, I just feel that we have a great community that is willing to put in effort to make hempcoin better every day and the rest of the crypto community should know that!

Hey man, thanks.  I finally got the new faucet wallet up.  You can send some THC that way.  I just feel bad losing all the donors coins.

http://sillypothead.com/thcfaucet/

Any recommendation on preventing things like this happening again?  I changed the port/username/password of the new wallet server.

I'd probably not fill up the faucet too much at one go.  In case this happens again.

Thanks everyone for the help.

Wow, this block is full of transactions and they look interesting! I wonder who sent them.

What do you think?

Okay, it's probably uninteresting, I know Cheesy

It does actually have some interesting aspects.. I'd have to check the scripts (which I will display on the block explorer eventually)  But I'm pretty sure this address HGSSA9Lfmy3sdTxkBCXPMSUFCEQmGdydog received and spent the same outputs in the same block.

received in this tx: eed35d4f9fd107c62d5655f5582a9c2f44ab204d49410e85669304baa60a9728
sent in this one: 2357f3dd5d11901c8fb8eabb8df46017c3ffaa4636d17996b0ccc3f01814ac4f

Two transactions in the same block and that address has only had two transactions..    Maybe that's normal but I didn't know that could happen. Cheesy
