Nice improvement! I have gone from 16.5 MHs per 280x to 21 MHs per 280x!

I know its low for a 270x this xfx card is a dog, I should have spent less and got the non x version, those seem to perform better.

I've gone through a bunch of 270X cards and the PowerColor ones I have now have been the best bang for the buck IMHO. They are built like a tank including back plates. I was lucky enough to buy them before the prices went nuts.

Hey guys, please remember to send me your config information! It'll really help new miners, and along with a good calc is one of the most important things to mining growth!

Someone or group is buying massive HVC on Mintpal. Anyone know what's going on?  Like 7 BTC in last 10 min. Keeps on going.

Downtrend is only due to BTC being down. Most don't realize that. BTC is rated against the dollar or euro.  But ALTs are rated against BTC. It's a compound effect. So when BTC falls 20%, ALTs should remain locked  or fixed at the price they are at compared to BTC, but they fall too. So when btc is down is when you should buy the ALTs... Because your leverage is so much stronger when BTc rebounds which it will. I don't think most people get that.

If BTC falls from 500 to 400. That's a 20% drop. But then ALTs fall 10% also to BTC. So the value of an Alt is compounded.  Buy when BTC is weak. Sell when bTC goes up. You have a lot more gain that way. Quite simple really.

On a happy note, new cgminer for HVC is a nice speed improvement, at the cost of extra power usage.

My rigs before

290x @1150Mhz -I8 25mh
290 @1150Mhz -I8 22mh
280x @1170Mhz -I8 16mh
270 @1150Mhz -I8 10mh
270 @ 1190Mhz -I8 11mh

My rigs now:

290x @1150Mhz -I8 31mh
290 @1150Mhz -I8 28mh
280x @1170Mhz -I8 22mh
270 @1150Mhz -I8 14mh
270 @ 1190Mhz -I8 15mh

EDIT:  Just don't do what I did, and overwrite the batch file with my wallet address with the default one and mine for over an hour for somebody else at 300mh.  Smiley

The mint rate and money supply are
continuously decided by cheat-proof decentralized voting.

Interesting take, is it true this coin uses very little power.
I would like to own some just to support innovation but Im just taking an interest, subbed

Correct almost 50% less power than traditional scrypt coins. Plus Heavycoin solves an issue that most fixed rate currencies have by having a built in system that determines future block size through voting. Also I'm just impressed at how strong per coin value is during this big dip with Bitcoin. Heavycoin is handling things quite well. Plus how many coins actually have devs that are capable of creating their own hashing algorithms?... Coming from other dev teams the answer is very few Smiley

I totally agreed with you.

From the point of view of a miner,  low temperature and low energy cost mean great.

Can't believe in it!
The new version of cgminer by 1gh increases my rig's hash power greatly!
I can say 1gh is the best pool with the strongest tech support I've even met.

Do I need change the cgminer setup or just use the default one? I have hd 7950.

Just replace the cgminer with the new one.
There is no need to change anything else.

280x? Try what I wrote in my previous message:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=506774.msg5992343#msg5992343

I can now get over 21MH/s with my 280x with the new 1GH cgminer.

Do you have any preferred setup for hd7850, hd7950 or hd7970?

Consider that a donation to miner developer Wink Much appreciated!

By the way, I'd suggest using '-w 64' and Catalyst versions 13.11 to latest for all AMD cards.

Which driver do you use?
I had 16.10 mh/s with old cgminer. Now I have 18.10 mh/s Sad

It´s good to increase the hash power but if everybody can increase it then is pointless and you will only increase power consumption .. so please hvc.1g  stop updating the cgminer!
