Hi,

I play at SWC poker and while I can no longer access my main account here, I made this one to start over and am very interested in participating in some of the bitcointalk tourneys I saw on there. What must I do to apply and/or qualify?

If this has been answered previously, I apologize. I've tried searching but I can only search once every 90 seconds so I thought I would just ask the community. Thanks in advance. I hope to play with you soon!

To be honest, this sounds like a cheap try to get on the list to participate in the freeroll. Yet this won’t work since royse needs to recognize you from other tournaments he hosted, mission failed. So sad to see some stories people make up just to participate in a small freeroll.  Roll Eyes

My username was either leftofcool or xkeyscore or xkeyscore89. My account was compromised years ago and the person tried to advertise my account for sale. I recovered the account but the damage was done and everyone thought I was a shill so I abandoned the account. It is not a "cheap" attempt to try to play. I've been on SWC for years so it's not like I'm dying to play in a freeroll to try to win some extra scratch.

Here's a screenshot of my SWC profile. You'll see I'm not hurting for a freeroll:

@Royse

EDIT: It appears that the account is gone now, perhaps from inactivity or maybe it was banned after it was advertised for sale. I'd like to participate in the community with this new account but what I don't appreciate is the snarky assumptions like I'm trying to scam someone. Thanks for that.

I have been creating an account on the SWC Poker site for a long time and have been gambling there and have not faced any problems yet. But the talk of being hacked here certainly seems unbelievable to me, the SWC Poker site is very safe and has strong security.
You may have shared your security password and username with someone else who may have harmed you, which is a suspicious thing. Moreover, I do not think it is possible to be hacked in any way.

I don't really get you dude! Do you mean you have been creating accounts there or is that a typographical error? You know that most casinos do not support multiple accounts from a user and you need to ensure you stick to a single account for all your poker activities. You can likewise go through their terms in case you are missing something.

Every gambler ought to keep all their gambling privacy information safe from the public to avoid scenario similar like this. This does not apply to gambling alone but all your online activities. Staying safe anonymously while gambling should be a prerequisite that will hinder any atom of privacy leak and that's why decentralized or partial KYC gambling platforms should be a thing of interest.

I hope to see more shortdeck tourneys on platform

I think that's a very bog long shot. Not only because I never see anybody playing short deck, but also because there is right now only one tournament on the schedule and it has a buyin of 10 chips, which is like 1$ . This tournament also only exists because it's part of the "TonyWa4rriorz Saturday Championship", so it's not even a regular.
So yeah, unless short deck gets a sudden crazy surge in popularity this is not gonna happen I supposed.
Whay they should do is adding more Omaha (what ever kind) tournaments. It's the 2nd most popular game but almost no tournaments exist on the site. Even stake has more at times, and they are still rookies in the poker business.

And by the way, while the security at swc is of course ok, but it's not "strong security". Sure, you have the option to add 2fa to your account, but that's about it. You won't get asked to confirm your login via email or something when you suddenly have suspicious logins with IPs from around the world, that's what for example other sites would do.

Although email messages requesting login confirmation might seem like an unnecessary complication, I believe that (combined with 2FA) they are actually a very effective way to protect an account. If someone manages to obtain the username, password, AND 2FA code, then receiving a notification about it becomes extremely valuable, because in that case, a compromised poker account might be the least of your problems. In any case, SwC Poker should consider implementing such protection as an additional layer of security.

Since some of my past assumptions were wrong, but I am more security conscious about any account. Therefore, every person should be careful about confirming and saving passwords for any account.
Especially those whose accounts are hacked are mainly hacked because of their laziness in keeping their passwords. Enabling 2FA is very necessary as it carries the most security, it is reasonable to enable 2FA for the most security.

Email requesting login confirmation from an IP address that looks suspicious won't add any complication but rather it should strengthen the site and build more confident amongst users. Imagine hacking into a user's account in a site where 2FA code isn't implemented, where the hacker is from a different location and succeeds to bypassing all security checks, it will automatically compromise the users account.

2FA authentication code used along side other security checks has always been a safe mode to secure accounts. If SwC poker implements 2FA authentication, the security of the site will be strengthened more but having email confirmation when a new IP address gets detected is also a big plus.

Dude, you are in their campaign, you should at least know the ins and outs of the site you are promoting. It’s not that much effort to do so. Furthermore , plenty of people already posted that swc already offers 2fa, there is nothing to implement or anything.

People really should get familiar with the site they are promoting, it takes like 5 minutes to do so. I’m sure every site that pays for posts promoting them would be happy about the people in the campaign actually know what they are representing.

I don't know for sure, but I'm confident that there are a lot of members of various signature campaigns that never check out the site that they are promoting. When I got accepted here, I decided to leave a portion of my earnings on the SwC site each week and play Texas hold'em with it. I love playing and this way I have a chance to further increase my earnings.

Of course you don't have to know everything but at least some basics should be there, don't you think? Because if there isn't necessary knowledge we will see posts like the mentioned one where a campaign member suggests things that have been implemented years ago, unnecessary spam.

Why do so many new accounts here have SWC avatars?  Or is it just one person with many alt accounts with SWC avatars?  I'm probably just being paranoid.  No one would be pathetic enough to create alts on SWC's bitcointalk thread.

Those who see the Avatar of SwC here, basically they have joined Signature Campaign and I am among them. And those who have worn Avatar have no alternative account. There is no fear of it anyway. If you have any questions then you can feel free to say as much as possible. Or Post SwC Official Telegram Group to get Responses very quickly.

If you are Poker lover, you can enjoy the swc poker.

I am really surprised to see the history of your account
