I sometimes use this strategy when I've been dealt bad cards for too long. I pretend to have good hands by constantly raising the bet and all in. If I'm lucky, everyone will fold. But if I'm unlucky, someone will do the same and go all-in. This is sometimes why I lose tournaments, when I lose my patience due to being dealt bad cards too often, even over many consecutive rounds. I usually do this when I'm in a bad mood. However, when I'm in a good mood, I'm usually quite patient. Bluffing is an integral part of poker, but there's no point in overcommitting and going all in when it's very likely that other player(s) have a better hand than you do. The only scenario when it kind of make sense to g all-in in every (or almost every) hand is to apply the big-stack bullying when, e.g. - you have a tournament with 3 paid places and 4 players left at the table - you have significantly bigger stack than others - you go all-in every hand just to steal small/big blinds while others are too afraid to call and risk dropping out just before paid places. Even if one of them had a pocket aces, they could still be hesitant to call your raise.

I've experienced that many times with other players in the table and even I, I did this to some of them. It's true that if we have patience, we could rake more from the others by trying to increase a little by little with the raise that we can do. But others are just wise that when they've noticed you do that, they're automatically going to fold whenever you do it. So, in their minds, it's both that you do, you bluff and you have good hands.
I sometimes use this strategy when I've been dealt bad cards for too long. I pretend to have good hands by constantly raising the bet and all in. If I'm lucky, everyone will fold. However, when I'm in a good mood, I'm usually quite patient. It's a hit or miss and you'll have to accept the next outcome of it if someone on the other side has got a stronger set of cards. I've learned from them and also from the tournaments that I have been part of. Sometimes, it's effective but you know in the table it's not only you that's genius with the bluffing. Because I've seen those risk takers that have done that and they become unpredictable. As for your patience, you have to determine how you would like to end with the tournaments you participate and it's very important not to be emotional even if someone did a bluff against you or when you've won with that.

How do you *steal* from the big blind? Obviously I meant to say small blind. But, you can also steal from the bb of course. Let the small blind just fill up and then you push with a mediocre hand. Unless the small blind trapped you it's an easy steal cause the bb will very likely fold. Guess this should have answered your question, even though the question wasn't necessary in the first place.

Btw, I became Young Seal recently, congratulate me, guys For those of you who don't know - it's quite an achievement Overall, I like this site very much. Playing there 2-3 times per week at least. And chatting with other players during the game is fun too, or even just reading how others chat. The young seal from the screenshot shows that from now, you will have double benefits than many other users at SwCPoker site. I congratulate you for achieving this seal with several benefits for yourself with bets on the site in future.Thank you! It's always a pleasure to be congratulated on your achievement. Would you mind sharing how long have you been with bets at SwCPoker and how actively you have been with bets there, in order to be eligible for this Young seal, please.
This information is important and stimulating for other users to get what you already had now by having doubled rake back than lower seals. It's been so long I couldn't even remember. So I went to my account at SwCPoker to check that out. To my surprise I wasn't able to see from what date I've been playing on the site. So, I can tell only approximately. I think it's 8 years, more or less. Likely, it's more.

Good point. I've faced this a lot. Whenever I tried to overdo it with bluffing, someone at the table would come out with a stronger hand and call my bluff, and then I'm out because I was just bluffing with a mediocre hand and not with something very strong. So you're right, even though bluffing can be very useful if used tactically, it needs to be used carefully to avoid losing all your chips. It's been so long I couldn't even remember. So I went to my account at SwCPoker to check that out. To my surprise I wasn't able to see from what date I've been playing on the site. So, I can tell only approximately. Wow, 8 years is a very long time. This means that you are one of the oldest members of the platform, or at least older than most of us around here. The platform had a major update in 2018, if I'm not wrong, and you were a part of the platform during that update. Is that right? Also, I read somewhere that SwC Poker had a different name before, is that right?

It was originally Seals With Clubs, DoJ shut them down and it moved overseas, ported balances and rebranded as SwC Poker. 8 years to become a young seal? Do you only play tourneys? I've been on the site around 3 years and just made it to Journeyman Seal (20k krill). BTW, if anyone would like an extra 15% rakeback drop me a pm.

8 years for young seal, jeez. That's awfully slow to say the least. I am on SWC for about 5 years I think, but didn't really play the last 2 years after all the increased rake and so on. Yet I am "sly seal" with over 75000 krill. Can't really understand how to get to such a low level and taking 8 years for it. Maybe just through tournaments and no rake tables, otherwise it's not really explainable. Also, I wouldn't call young seal "quite an achievement" since you get to it after only 1250 krill.

Lately, I have been joining freerolls for a very small amount. I seem to get impatient very quickly at this point. Since it's free, don't hesitate to participate and try to have as much fun as possible. And here I was joining yesterday but there were many skilled players. Gradually fall out of it and cannot survive for long. Besides, I think you should join paid tournaments instead of joining free tournaments. Because there are not many participants and it ends very quickly.
Yes, you're right, sometimes playing poker can make us lose track of time because we're so engrossed in it. The simple and lightweight interface keeps me playing longer. Especially when the table is full, I get excited. I find this game very exciting. I'm interested in joining the tournament next time. I need to add more funds to my SwC account, and I'll try to do that.

Good luck to you and to anyone that's going to join the BPC poker series. The other BPC series have 30k chips but the entry is going to be more than 100. It is the BPC#3 that has got the largest guarantee for only 100 chips, I guess that the best of the best are going to join here. There's also the low chips buy in as the usual games that don't want to take risk with the other table that has larger chips.

I think I should save this date. But I'm sure there will be a lot of people signing up, especially since it's only 100 chips. So I schedule playtime only at night when everyone in the house is asleep. Get your timing right. As it amounts to a lot of gambling. So we should refrain from playing in front of our children. Many times it is seen, the activities that we spend time on. Gradually my children showed interest in all those activities. So we should always be aware while playing the tournament. So that it doesn't fall in front of anyone and they don't get addicted to it. Although we play tournaments for fun, our children can see a source of income. It can cause mental damage.

There's currently a freeroll running for 7-Card Stud. Stud is my least proficient game, so I thought this would be an opportunity to learn it through a freeroll.

How it went for you? I've missed that. There's another one, a 7-card stud that's about to happen in 30 minutes by the time I've posted this. What I've noticed is many players are joining at the last minute of the tournament and not the actual registration but the late registration. I don't understand why many does that or if there's an advantage towards it. Because when I did that, other players in the table have got a lot of chips already while me, I've got the starting one and they have the advantage to bluff me with all in because they have more chips.

There's probably no specific benefit in joining a tournament late, rather there is the disadvantage that you mentioned where other players on the table will have a higher amount of chips than you if you join late, and then you will need to play more carefully so that you can at least reach their level or at least keep yourself safe from their bluffs. When you have a low amount of chips, or at least lower than others, and others try to bluff you with all-in, don't call their bluff unless you know that you have a very strong hand and will probably win the hand. When I'm playing, especially if it's a tournament where I have paid for joining, I always only go all-in or call it when someone else have went all-in when I know that I have a hand that can challenge theirs, never challenge anyone if you only have two pairs or something like that, because they will beat you easily, only go for it if you have a full house, three of a kind, etc. If it's a freeroll, you can experiment, of course.

Well, you can try learning through freerolls. It's actually quite easy, and I really like stud. Besides stud, I also like Razz, because it's like the opposite of stud. So, it's quite easy to understand. However, I'm sure that once you start playing more stud, you'll actually start to like it more.

Because I play on my phone, I immediately turn off my screen, and that's always the case. Even when I'm scrolling through social media, when my kids come over, I put my phone away and spend time with them. I rarely play 7-Card Stud. While it's quite a fun game, it's very difficult to bluff in Stud because most of your cards are visible to everyone, and there are only three hidden cards, or only two hidden from the start. 7-Card Stud is always quite fun to play, but not in cash games.
