Ethereum have really managed to prove something recently but for a long run still, I will go with ethereum as a better coin than xrp.  Ethereum have been widely used for years already giving it a higher market demand which will definitely be its biggest asset in the future. It is just that recovery is still a problem at this moment and as such, we are not seeing the real potential of ethereum.

And in the market cap there is a huge gap from XRP to ETH, and let's just say that ETH really fell and Ripple on the other hand and was able to successfully rank up from no. 2 and I was kinda surprised that this happen, and for ETH, it stayed on top for a long period of time, and I think that even if it is on rank 3, a lot of people will still make use and benefit from it.

Faster? Yes, better? No. Ripple is a centralized coin so it might as well just be like the fiat currencies that we have now which everyone is trying to move away from, at this point no one is looking for a currency that is controlled by someone else to invest in, it just doesn't make any sense. Coins like this are only useful when the markets are backed up

I have both of this coin and I guess they can't be comparable which is better of them two since they cater different line of merchant. Xrp focus in payment system where most of it's clients are banks and payment center while eth are catering ICOs and Alt coins transactions using its erc20 smart contract the downside only on eth if I could become scam it can affect it's price if that ico Dev would dump the eth they raised during ICO.

Both of these coins are indeed potential but at this time, traders are more dominant in XRP because in Coinmarketcap alone, the ETH rating can be shifted by XRP. At the moment I am assessing XRP is better than eth.

I think this is only time and while ethereum is bored in second place, and now ethereum is taking a break and being replaced by XRP. I think after ethereum returns to health he will return to his place again

Better for what? I suppose you are evaluating them as an asset so currently XRP retains price better than Eth and is better for preservation of capital. In general they are two different coins, one is the payment system and the other is a platform for startups based on smart contracts and much less a payment system.

There is no better just such a situation has arisen because all the projects use ETH investors and fraudsters, bountists and many others. When everyone starts selling it is clear that she falls.

I agree, we could not say clearly that XRP is the best because it is the most traded coin so far, and it doesnt mean it we generalize that its the best coin, time will come it will be replaced in that spot.

Ranking in marketcap is not a basis if the coins is much better than the other. It just happened that ETH has lose it's control as more investors had dumps lately that cost them to fall down to top 3. I still believe in ETH than XRP but the market is unpredictable and volatile it will surprise us without a valid reason.

No one can tell really, I think the reason why XRP outrun the ETH is because of its previous listing on the coin base. As we all know, listing in an exchange do really attract investors to buy more of this token which result to its sudden increase. But that is just my speculation.

I would say at the moment XRP. Because Ripple will replace SWIFT standard in near future which can be defined as very strong use case in banking sector. But Ethereum’s smart contract has meaning yet only in crypto world.

For me Ethereum is still better than any Altcoin because even this year have been falling for many times and until now it is still is one of the valuable and profitable once its start to rise. Also not only ETH is having continuously falling of itsmprice because all of them are experiencing to have long time dropping but it seem that Ethereum is one of the Altcoin than can recover.

eth is still in difficult times because the ico eth platform is a lot of scams
