Xrp takes eth position number 2 and eth drops to 3. We don't know for how long this would be but it could go on for long. I like to see this kind of competition between them. It will put the devs on their feet to try to be there better project.

Not really. I've never used XRP and not going to. XRP is better only for huge banks to transfer money using ripple technology. For mass adoption xrp isn't that we need.

Ripple is no better than ethereum but it is obvious what it is happening, Ripple is mostly used by banks so its usage has not gone down significantly because of the crash, but the main utility of ethereum comes from allowing you to participate in icos and since icos are going down ethereum is going down with them.

Just time will tell if XRP is really better, but for now, i believe eth is better. Each of it has its own usecase. Just as ethereum is useful to some, so also is xrp useful to others. Although, eth needs to be taken up at the stage it is now, it seriously needs more development. I also agreed with what you said because Ripple will never be better than ethereum and I want Sanford to know that the reason behind ethereum dip down trend was not about the fraudster, investors etc. Although, the smart contract and dapps are one of the reason why ethereum capital was high but the really problem started with ethereum stability while there's already alot competitors ethereum , so people somehow drift to the next coin instead of ethereum and this is the reason why NEO and EOS gain some pump acouple of weeks back but both EOS, NEO and Ripple are centralized coins dont trust them totally.

For this year, I would say that XRP is better than Ethereum in terms of price and return on investments. On the other hand, if ethereum recovers, it may surpass Ripple again as what it did for a few years. We all know that Ethereum can bounce back and its still the most used alternate coin. i think like that too,
because i see the quality of ethereum is still very good compared to the XRP, indeed the XRP is currently in its position. but we'll see how in the future, ethereum will return to its position again.
