I think you are holding the charts too close to your face.

Hmm yes, very good.

I shall politely remind you that you not even once have you called the square root of fuck all remotely correctly since I started tuning in here but I congratulate you on your immunity to your Bitcoin's USD worth. I wish I could be so free of Bitcoin stress like you, except that I don't as being a latecomer I would be in the fkn poorhouse if I were to adopt such a fkn numbskulled attitude towards my finances.

Holliday. Zero market acumen, but good for a smart arse comment or two.

I bid you good day.

I have made every attempt to avoid calling the square root of fuck all. So yes, I can agree that I have not made a correct call since you started tuning in here.

Zero market acumen is exactly correct. I don't play this market. I don't play any market. Most day traders lose money. Why would I play a game when there is a good chance I will lose? Not to mention the traders who made all the right calls and lost every single satoshi of profit when their exchange "disappeared". I'll admit that I am often tempted (although not during consolidation periods like we have now).

You aren't a latecomer, don't lie. According to many of your posts you knew about Bitcoin as early as, possibly earlier than, I did.

I am in the poorhouse, and you know nothing of my finances. I don't live life like most people. My main concern is expanding my freedom and avoiding those things which could reduce it. Freedom is more important to me than money, but I'm not ignorant to the fact that in today's world money can open a lot of doors.

I use Bitcoin as a tool to increase my freedom. I am not immune to the value fluctuations, but I've accepted them long ago. I'm betting on one thing, that there will continue to be people in the world who value Bitcoin as a useful tool until something better comes along (assuming Bitcoin can't simply adopt the improvements should that occur).

You just said everything I want to say, but fear it would be wasted Wink prove us wrong MTC show us a little insight! hehe.

I think Holliday might have touched something. You have mentioned being in early on several occasions. Maybe this is just bitter regret? - I'm not saying it is but can you be absolutely sure it isn't?

I'm sure you probably see all my posts as taking shots at you, I guess there is an element of truth in that, but only insomuch as I might tease anyone (and expect to be teased in return) as a means of getting them to reflect. (As indeed I would need to reflect if I am pulled up on things). Everyone is here for the same shared common interest, the points of view might differ, but we are all kind of in it together. So for that reason I think we should all learn together. I'm not trying to say I have the answers and you should listen to me or whatever, what I guess I'm doing is asking you questions about yourself so I can understand *myself* better by understanding those around me.

I don't assume to have you sussed, in fact you might just be trolling, in which case fair play you got me! IF you aren't though I'm fascinated by your motives.

I used to think like you, way back when I first heard of and then first starting using Bitcoin. But now, there are just so many reasons and arguments around that make such a rose tainted view of Bitcoin utterly impossible for me. Bitcoin today is an out and out shark pool. For this reason, Bitcoin will become subject to ever increasingly tighter regulation which will piss all over your freedom and actually make someone less free, and less anonymous for using it.

I don't assume to have you sussed, in fact you might just be trolling, in which case fair play you got me! IF you aren't though I'm fascinated by your motives.

I am into Bitcoin to make money. I don't believe in it (anymore), I don't like what it has turned into, and I don't trust the motives of the people who are ultimately responsible for putting it out into the public arena. But I have seen how I have already missed out on 10000%+ profits just cos I was too lazy to make that wild-card £1000 investment back in the day, or if I did, I then proceeded to spend it all on Silk Road. I am not bitter about it, after all, I could be a millionaire if only I had put on last weeks winning lottery numbers. However, just as I believe that Bitcoin could easily repeat mid 2011, April and then November 2013, there is also every danger that it doesn't, or that it repeats Nov 2011 before it is ready for another bout of parabolic action. I rage against posters who compose post after post of Bitcoin dirge that consists of nothing more than what they 'hope' happens rationalised into some pseudo-logical argument, and bearish dullards such as igorr are just as annoying as shit for brain bulltards like JimboToronto. Both types of Bitcoin retard can affect someones mind in such a way that they lose money, which evokes ire in me.

Why I feel the need to rage against anyone as opposed to just quietly sitting doing my own thing is a much broader question. Perhaps I am sensitive to the notion of how the sheer  weight of the invariably wrong majority tends to overwhelm the meak but more often correct stance of the minority. Perhaps it is emotionally appealing to me to view myself as a minority figure of perpetual correctness who must defend himself against the opinions of the moronic masses? Perhaps throwing profanities and insults at people on the internet who demonstrably disagreed with me at some point and got it wrong, makes me feel good and distracts my attention from all the times that I got it wrong? It isn't my fault, its his! and his! and hers! Bastards the lot of them!

Like a fly to shite however, I am checking out Bitcoin charts, Bitcoin news, and Bitcoin opinions (such as on this forum) on a near daily basis. What I hope to get out of it is to gauge a good entry point into the market on a long term basis. I felt it was coming into shape just a short time ago, but now I am not so sure once again. A nice gentle rise above $580 would have been so much more reassuring than the mad price surge caused by that 20K+ panic buying whale. Bitcoin could spring up from here, or take a further nose dive down, but whatever it does, the path directly ahead at this point in time is caked with mist and fog and since I am loss averse above all else, I am out for now.

Nice thread, kudos to the brave investment decision. In my humble opinion diversification into physical gold and silver would be well worth considering, that doesn't mean get rid of all the bitcoins.

Bitcoin has huge potential for sure and the way the media are behind it makes me think the powers that be have plans to use it (or similar , Iceland will soon have its own national crypto currency). But I think gold and silver are true wealth available at manipulated low prices.

Thats the direction I'm starting to think in too. I forsee bitcoin eventually being embraced by big money and individual freedom and anonymity dwindling away in the process.

Matt, stop calling yourself latecomer. You are not fucking latecomer, you sold or spent your Bitcoins when they were 10$.

You've just been idiot to do it, you're not latecomer, stop playing on that heartbreaking card.

And yes, you're probably the most bitterish guy around here, the anger and bitterness is the highest tone of most of your posts.

You're probably single guy I've never seen here putting a smiley in any of his posts or saying anything remotely relaxed and funny, it's pure aggression all the time.

You're bitter as fuck mate, recognize that and you'll feel much better  Grin

I am a latecomer in the sense of it is only recently that I aimed to make cash through being a fucking parasite in the hope that there will be plenty less skilled parasites than me in the market in order to fund my pay packets.

Acting like a parasite doesn't come as naturally to me as it does to others so I am of course a little late to the speculative game, although it is true, that I was buying Bitcoins when they were less than $5. Silly me for actually using them for their intended purpose. Idiot. Hopefully my mindset has now been correctly aligned with the prevailing ethos of the early 21st century. Roll on the Age of the Jew!

Yes, you're idiot. Yoiu used them just as I am using them now despite strongly believing they'll be much more expensive but you're idiot as you spent and sold all of them and never saw they could be where they are now.

OK, you might not be an idiot, it needed big belief to hold through all shit but stop playing a victim, you're not. You had your chance, you missed it. No need to hate those that took the chance and had hit the lottery, they're not responsible for your missed opportunity. They've been fucking brave and I salute them, their belief is the reason we are here right now.

No, I am not done.

As soon as a good investment opportunity arises, I intend to exploit it to the max.

Is that ok with you?

Bitcoins in the past 3 months has been one of the worst ways to increase your fiat. In the past week I have seen stocks such as Plug, FNMA, and FCEL increase 2-3x their value in a week and drop that much in a day. These aren't penny stocks either. Mat the fact that you emphasize constantly that you have put your hard earned money into the bitcoin market and is deathly afraid of losing any or all of it is a joke. You are a wanna be day trader that for some reason chose bitcoins as your method of accumulating more fiat. There are better investments out there that can double or triple you money in a day and only happens from 9:30 to 4:00.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. It's just that yours is stupid! =D

Hi All,

I have been following Bitcoin for over a year and was the first person ever to put my house for sale for bitcoin.

http://www.cbc.ca/newsblogs/yourcommunity/2013/03/alberta-man-accepting-bitcoins-in-exchange-for-home.html

Not sure if you followed my story from a year ago, but the house just sold on Friday, and will make the news tomorrow I suspect. When the house closed on Friday I got approximately 648 BTC for my house which is based on prices over the past 6 months when the deal was actively negotiated, legal fees, realtor fees, and a bunch of contract wording that I frankly don't understand. I am now all in! I really believe in bitcoin. It is the future of the world. I look forward to the continued price increase and one day I plan to own my own island. I will truly be a bitcoin billionaire by the time I am 25 I believe. This house was inherited from my father who passed away a few years ago and he always believed in me and told me I would make it big one day and so I shall. Wish me luck Smiley

I am into Bitcoin to make money. I don't believe in it (anymore), I don't like what it has turned into, and I don't trust the motives of the people who are ultimately responsible for putting it out into the public arena. But I

Problem #2:
I am a latecomer in the sense of it is only recently that I aimed to make cash through being a fucking parasite in the hope that there will be plenty less skilled parasites than me in the market in order to fund my pay packets.

Keep at it... those sharks will have you for lunch as soon as you jump back in...

Matt, stop calling yourself latecomer. You are not fucking latecomer, you sold or spent your Bitcoins when they were 10$.

You've just been idiot to do it, you're not latecomer, stop playing on that heartbreaking card.

Hi Matt:

Just wondering what you mean exactly by "Age of the Jew"? Is that anything like the "Age of Aquarius"? If so, let me know how I can get involved.

Blackcoin ~ 10 second transactions (fastest coin) ~ 100% proof of stake (the first) ~ No wasteful mining (most efficient)

Indeed, the stock market is looking more and more interesting than bitcoin these days. Plug reminded me of bitcoin in November, so I shorted it at 10 all the way down to 7 yesterday.
