Maybe yes maybe no but all depend your analysis. Every strategy has risk but if market goes deep your money will stuck and stress will be yours. On the period of holding, I think we cannot predict exactly when.
It always depends on the market condition, if the market will recover and give us a chance to sell for a profit, the that's the right time to sell.

almost all of us have assets that we hold, and of course the best thing about us is to hold them back. right now, I hold bitcoin, ETH, UTNP, and some other types of coins, I just hope that the increase in bitcoin prices will trigger altcoin price increases that I hold.

It's what it is, don't be too bullish on altcoins when BTC is not even moving up.
We had some great uptrend move when BTC reach over $4,000 but that was only at the start of the year, so far, price is stable.

On that year was over, we are now facing the new year  if how does market will get recover from continuing declining  its market. Regarding  with bitcoin if its price will not get recover more or less crypto- currencies will keep on bear market, since they're  underlying on bitcoin currency. So, no other option is to hold and put more patient on it.

Yes when i  loss more than 90% , I also decided to hold it for long term investment.  Just use this losses to learn more about risk management  and create strategy. Greedy, FOMO and did not use risk management is the biggest mistake for all trader who been loss more than 90%.

Same here. I am now holding my coins and wait until the market becomes okay again. I trade very little because its very risky. For now it is the safest thing to do. Not being profitable but to secure the remaining coins on my wallet. Its hard to win the war with this kind of market so i think i will rest for a while.

It is true were there are lot of communities believed that before end of 2018 bull run will happen, but those rumors and prediction failed to be happen. Which is bear market are still on going happened. And being a bullish is the best option we can do to make our coin be safe into our storage wallet. Only few of the traders are making day trade due to they know they cam make profit.

For sure the more we hold the more we get because price use to change all the time so holding remains the best choice rather than selling because we know holding has more potential for now than selling,  its not fair to sell your coin at the middle of the road, selling now will be panic but holding has no problems its smooth and safe way to invest your money.

2018 really was a bad year. Let's realize a lesson that something that gets too fast will die very quickly.
there will be no more big waves of whales, our market will slow and recover slowly. we should consider making a completely new strategy. Our market is no longer as easy as 2017.
