Chris Moris have got good batting average. If Rajasthan Royals have batted first, then we could've got to seen the better performance of Chris Moris. During the second innings every player getting into the pitch will have some pressure. That is also a reason for the loss of the match.

I was mad at Samson, because I made a bet in favor of Rajasthan Royals and I lost it. Arshdeep bowled well, but we should not forget Meredith who conceded just 8 runs in the 19th over. 21 runs were needed from 12 balls, which was achievable. But Meredith got the wicket of Lord Tewatia, and then apart from the six, bowled a really tight over. Jhye Richardson would be really disappointed. He conceded 55 runs of his 4 overs, which was incidentally his most expensive bowling performance in T20s to date.

He is the captain and he was confident in winning the game with a six if not who would deny a single to put Chris Morris on strike and even Chris Morris was surprised that the skipper did not trust his batting capabilities and that was evident with the surprised reaction and then at that moment i knew he will mess up as you cannot be Dhoni like figure, take the single and if Chris Morris would have scored a boundary it was a victory.

There is no doubt that Mumbai Indians are the strongest team in this edition of the IPL. The other teams are far behind. However the way in which they lost the first match to RCB was unexpected. I agree that they have the best players and the right team balance. But captaincy is not up to the mark. They lost the match against RCB due to poor tactics in the end overs. Rohit is one of the best players in the IPL. But he is not the best captain. On the other hand, KKR probably has the best captain in this tournament (Eoin Morgan).

Don't forget the match is happening at Chennai not at Mumbai so their strong lineup may struggle as well and on the other side KKR has perfect bowling unit to tackle MI batsmen if the pitch starts assist the spin bowling. But there is no objection in the strong lineup available in MI because they have perfect players for each of the position so even if one batsman plays well the team will reach 170+ in any pitch condition.

Yes the T20 World cup is coming but the level of competition in the IPL is far superior which is obvious.

So Mumbai Indians will be batting first. Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and asked their opponents to go first. Quinton de Kock is included in the playing XI for MI, replacing Chris Lynn. That was not a surprise, but I would say that it is harsh on Lynn. He performed exceptionally well during the last match (top-scored for MI with 49 runs from 35 balls against Royal Challengers Bangalore) and gets dropped for this match. Life is tough, sometimes.
