What is happening with RCB they lost two quick wickets? As usual, the Indian captain Kohli has consistently proved he cannot bat in IPL. That was a very lame shot to lose his wicket. I am getting a feeling that this match would be won by KKR by the way RCB is batting now. If Maxwell goes on for a rampage then it will be a different story.

Forget Kohli and look at Maxwell, he's going mental. Punjab and Pretty Zinta must be looking at him and cursing real bad. He didn't hit a single six or fifty for them in the last 2-3 years and after leaving the franchise he's hitting 6s and 50s in almost every game.

That's true. When RCB went for Maxwell after spending such a big amount in the auctions, I was really surprised. But in the end, that money can be described as well spent. That said, it was de Villiers who went mental in the end. He scored 76 from just 34 balls (Maxwell got his 78 from 49 balls). I was expecting 170-180, and the Royal Challengers Bangalore ended up with a total of 204. The last 5 overs went for 70 runs.

Yeah, just now Dinesh Karthik came in after Nitish Rana also threw away his wicket. Chennai pitch is something special which kills the sprit of T20 matches. I mean we want high scoring matches to enjoy the day but 2nd batting side is simply suffering even they are chasing low scores (but today is different case thanks to Maxwell and ABD).

I guess today RCB is going to win their first ever 3rd consecutive victory on the history of IPL. I mean they never got 3 consecutive winning streaks and if they win today that will become possible on this 14th edition of IPL. Let's watch how KKR batsmen taking match from here.

Agreed on the RCB team balance.. but still I don't understand the purpose of some of the players. For example, why this Rajat Patidar guy gets selected after repeated failures? But I am happy with one change they made. They included Harshal Patel in the place of Navdeep Saini. That worked really well for them. And for KKR, the poor form of Dinesh Karthik should be the primary concern. He seems to be going through a lean patch of his career.

Both of them showed excellent batting performance today. Especially Maxwell having a good time in this IPL session.  He played well in every match. And there is some fault in KKR batting order. Probably they should bring some changes in it. Like ‘bryant.coleman’ said above, KKR need to think more about Dinesh Karthik. Andre Russell should have earlier batting position.

The match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals is getting more enjoyable with both sides fighting hard to make the win. Punjab Kings have made good score, but the batting line-up of Delhi Capitals keep the momentum maintaining the required run rate. Now the second wicket has fallen and match has got slowed down. The winning chance of Delhi Capitals is predicted to be high against Punjab Kings.

Delhi Capitals seems to be in a very good position right now, but they will be in trouble if they lose quick wickets. Steve Smith failed once again, and it just proves that he is not suitable for T20 cricket. He is a legendary test batsmen. Unfortunately, that doesn't translate to being successful in the T20 format. IMO, Rishabh Pant did the mistake by sending Smith ahead of himself. Delhi needs to be careful here. After Pant, it is going to be Marcus Stoinis (and he is out of form). And then the tail starts.

The problem with Steve Smith is that he needs to settle before starts hammering the ball and either he should be send as an opener or he should be replaced as he is clearly struggling and his last season was also not that great.

The advantage for Royal Challengers Bangalore is that almost all of their batsmen are in top form, and his includes Virat Kohli, Devdutt Padikkal, Glenn Maxwell and AB de Villiers. For the Kolkata Knight Riders, the top order (Nitish Rana/Shubman Gill/Rahul Tripathi) is in good form, but the same can't be said about the middle and lower order. Yesterday when Russell was hitting on Chahal, I felt like betting on KKR even though I had bet on RCB winning. Its that kind of things which makes me feel not to bet when RCB is playing.

Today there is a match between two of the most inconsistent teams (Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings). Sanju Samson has been getting the runs for RR, but compared to other players of similar calibre, he has a lower probability of converting his individual scores to a win by his franchise. Chennai Super Kings will be fielding Lungi Ngidi today, as he has completed his quarantine. This will make their bowling lineup more lethal. Also, it looks as if Ruturaj Gaikwad will be replaced by Robin Uthappa.
