In the third and final T20 match between Pakistan and England, Pakistan won the toss and was elected to bat. Mohammad Rizwan has been playing very aggressively since the beginning of the match. Pakistan scored 56 runs in 7 overs. But they have lost their important batsmen Babar Azam. Mohammad Rizwan is unbeaten on 30 runs at the crease.

Pakistan started the innings cautiously but no use. They quickly loss two more wickets and now Pakistan are struggling at 69-3. How quickly this game changes. England are on top at the moment.

With a strong batting lineup England has even though all of their players are in the team they will win easily, Pakistan surprised with one match and that is more than enough to expect from them and in this match England only need 61 runs to win in 54 balls with 8 wickets in hand and if Pakistan had a potent bowling lineup they once had then i might have given a chance but not anymore.

Pakistan has performed at a level much better than teams like Sri Lanka and South Africa (which recently lost an ODI match to Ireland). Outside the big 3 + NZ grouping, Pakistan seems to be the strongest team. And in UAE/Oman they usually have home advantage, because when Pakistan was unable to host matches, UAE used to be its home venue. But do they have a chance to win the world cup this time? It's a difficult question.

Out of the 6 matches, they lost 5. So overall, it was a bad series. But there were some brilliant individual performance from the Pakistan players. Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam did well with the bat, while Shaheen Afridi was impressive with the ball. So it was not all doom and gloom. There are a lot of positives that they can take from this tour. And for the T20 world cup, they definitely have an advantage, because the matches are going to take place in UAE and Oman, and the players are well suited to those conditions.

I feel Pakistan have no pressure going into the T20 World Cup because they’re not contenders for winning it, and hence they’ll be able to play their natural game and if they win matches then it’s added benefit for them. Furthermore the venue of the World Cup will support their team, hence I would not judge them based solely on this series.

Nowadays players maintain great level of fitness and it is not unusual to find 38-39 year olds playing international cricket. Along with Mohammad Hafeez, another player who maintains a good fitness standard is Shoaib Malik. For the batsmen and spinners, it is relatively easy. But that is not the case for the pace bowlers. Wear and tear from heavy workload means that most of them retire by the time they reach 35-36. A few who surprises me with their determination are James Anderson of England and Peter Siddle of Australia (although the latter no longer play international cricket).

I agree with you. At least Pakistan tried and fought till the end, I appreciate that. It's too early to draw any conclusions just after winning or losing a series. The T20 format is the most unpredictable, any team can beat any other on a given day! Although England is playing great cricket right now, their weakness against slow bowling, especially in the middle overs, is something that needs to be addressed.

The individual performances does not matter much when they can't contribute in the winning of the team. All such efforts go in vain and no one remember them if the team does not win.
I must appreciate the England team who despite the B team, played superbly and got an historic win.

Have to agree and the Pakistan team (for all the formats) remain heavily dependent on a few players. The younger players are not living up to the expectation. And BTW, England was not fielding a B team. Some of the regular players were missing, but some of their top performers in the T20 format, such as Chris Jordan, Adil Rashid, Moeen Ali, Jos Buttler, Jason Roy, Dawid Malan and Jonny Bairstow were playing. So Pakistan has no reasons to be dejected about their performances. Plenty of positives for them to take away from the tour.

Since the World Cup is taking place in the UAE Pakistan will have an advantage as you said and their spinners can trouble any batsman like they did against England in the final T20I and even though they lost the match, it was a close match. I watched the highlights because i thought England would win easily but how come they dragged till the end and made it difficult and if not for the missed catches i seriously think Pakistan would have won.

Usually Asian teams are not known for their fitness level but it is good to see players like Mohammad Hafeez and Shoaib Malik can match with any players even in the shorter format.

Bangladesh has been unbeaten so far in this tour, as they have swept the test and ODI series. I don't expect any upsets during the T20 series as well. Zimbabwe simply doesn't have the capability to take on test nations at this point. Apart from a handful of players such as Taylor, Muzarabani, Burl and Raza, they don't have international quality squad. On the other hand, the Bangladeshi players haver performed well - especially Shakib al Hasan, Liton Das, Taskin Ahmed, Tamim Iqbal and Mahmudullah.

The second franchise league organized by the ECB, The Hundred starts from today (it will take place along with the T20 Blast, which is organized by the counties). The first match is between Oval Invincibles and Manchester Originals, and will start at 4:30 pm GMT. The Oval side includes big names such as Sam Curran, Sam Billings, Tom Curran, Saqib Mahmood, Sunil Narine, Jason Roy and Tabraiz Shamsi (who controversially replaced Sandeep Lamichhane two days ago), while the Manchester squad features Jos Buttler, Carlos Brathwaite, Lockie Ferguson, Colin Munro, Ollie Robinson and Phil Salt.

Of course, a lot has to do with fitness and motivation/determination but another thing you would always see from cricketers playing in the later stages of their career is that they have an easy to follow and repeat action. I mean I cannot recall a bowler with smoother action than Anderson and for Siddle, it's not pretty but he has a good swift landing point as most of the time it's the leg injuries that pull the pacers back.

For batsmen, you will see the ones who maintain workload better will play for long periods. Talking about cricket, I see Ireland doing pretty well and I can only imagine how strong the team would look if they had their original player Eoin morgan in the team. If they had better batsmen and a experienced captain, which is what Eoin is best at, they would be a really good cricketing team.

What do you mean by exceptionally well? I guess they have to, they are playing with Zimbabwe and not with a top team. They have to win all the T20 matches otherwise they will lose their T20 ranking and land below zimbabwe. There is nothing exceptional about the matches played and won by Bangladesh with Zimbabwe in the past series. The T20 series might be a tough one for Bangladesh.

Once again, Zimbabwe wasted a good chance and ended up with a mediocre total (152 all out). And as expected, Bangladesh has started well. I am getting really tired with this Zimbabwe team. I lost the count of occasions where they wasted good beginnings. After 10 overs, Zimbabwe were at 91/2. Can you believe what happened after that? They made 62 runs in the next 10 overs, after losing 8 wickets. This is beyond pathetic. The middle order folded up without even attempting a fight. Do we need such teams in international cricket? Really feel bad for Blessing Muzarabani. He is wasting his talent in this shit team.
