Finally Pakistan managed to avoid whitewash by winning the fifth and final match of the T20I series. I thought that they were going to lose again, as they could only make a total of 134/8. New Zealand went with an unchanged squad, and Tim Southee, Matt Henry and Lockie Ferguson made life difficult for the Pakistani batsmen. Still Pakistan managed a decent total thanks to Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Rizwan. Haseebullah Khan, the debutant got out for a duck. In return, New Zealand could not get to three digits, as Mohammad Nawaz and Iftikhar Ahmed struck at crucial intervals.

I was thinking they have lost the last match too. But Pakistan is the team which can do anything at anytime. Really surprised. Means really. New Zealand team made 54 runs with 4 wickets loss. But on 92 runs they lost all wickets.
The target was not much higher that was just 135 runs. That was the target which is the lowest target of the whole series but New Zealand didn't able to chase.

Another T20Is series has been finished and in this series, we got a lot of nostalgia because this is the first series of Pakistan where their captain is changed from, Babar Azam to Shaheen Shah Afridi and in this series Babar made three fifty and Babar Azam has also risen on the world's best batsmen list, and also in this series, we have seen the captaincy of Shaheen Shah Afridi, these all the nostalgia for Pakistan but now we have come to New Zealand, the team of New Zealand had no special in this but one thing is special which is they won a series against Pakistan in their home ground after 4 years.

Batting first, the Pakistan team scored 138 runs for 8 wickets down. Mohammad Rizwan made 38 runs and it was the highest runs from the Pakistan team as their batting collapsed in this match too. Finally, there is some good news for Pakistan fans. Pakistan have won the last T20I run by defending a low total. First victory for Shaheen as a captain. Although the score is comparatively on the lower side, Pakistan's spinners took the game away from New Zealand. Iftikhar was the plus factor today. I am wondering why he hasn't bowled in the previous matches. They did well on a dead pitch.
After this series, Pakistan should rethink their approach to T20I as a team. They should focus on players who will be playing in the World T20 tournament this year and stop testing different players now.

Again, the batting was a big concern when I saw they only got 135 runs as a target. I never expected them to win too as it is not easy to defend such a small target in T20 cricket. What was good about them today was that they not only defended the target but also wiped out New Zealand for just 92 runs. I was very impressed by the way the bowlers bowled today. Iftikar's spin attack worked well for them and the consistency of Shaheenn Afridi helped them win the last match.

Pakistan making 134, I thought it was going to be whitewash for NZ but nope, NZ played subpar today.

Poor inning from Babar, he made 13(24) and that too after Chapman dropped him two times, any other batsman would have gone guns blazing on first drop. Finn Alenn's catch was not out, ball pitched first before getting into fielder's hands, and commentators were also praising the third umpire for this wrong decision.

Yes, although the Pakistan team did not play well in the previous matches of this series, in this last match today, the Pakistan team played very well, and won the match by 42 runs against New Zealand. Winning the last match of this T20 series is a big achievement for the Pakistan team. In today's match, the bowling line was more impressive than the batting of the Pakistan team. Especially in today's match, Iftekhar Ahmed performed the best in bowling, he bowled 4 overs and managed to pick up three wickets for 24 runs. All the matches of this series were lost by Pakistan before this match but now, Pakistan ended this series with a victory, and the New Zealand team won this series. This is a very good series for New Zealand and by the way,  Finn Allen is the player of this series he made 275 runs against Pakistan team bowlers, but cricinfo's MVP is Fakhar Zaman due to his magical performance in early matches.

Iftekhar Ahmed took three wickets with 34 runs in four overs and Shahensha Afridi and Mohammad Nawaz took two wickets each.

Although Pakistan won this match, they could not bat as expected their batting performance did not improve. Apart from Mohammad Rizwan and Faqar Zaman, none of the pakistan team managed to score 30 plus runs. As T20 World Cup is about to start, all Pakistani players need to improve their batting performance otherwise they will continue to play poorly in T20 World Cup.
