Jaiswal's run-out was unconventional but effective. Dubey's consistency is commendable; he's definitely making a strong case for the World Cup. Concerns about Rohit's form and Kohli's approach are valid. A clean sweep would be a great morale boost for the team.

Funny seeing so many people think that India are in a great position to win the upcoming T20 World Cup just because they are performing well in recent T20 matches against somewhat weaker teams.

India need to focus on getting rid of the chokers tag in order to actually win big ICC cups which probably won't change anytime soon.

Sharma got out in first game on zero and in second T20I he also got a duck but that doesn't have any impact on India as they manage to win both games comfortably. As you said, stadium is small and wicket is flat that's why 172 proved to be a small target. But still good performance from Afghanistan batsmen they scored 172 against strong Indian bowling. With this win India is now also the winner of this series.

Yes Rohit Sharma has been dismissed for 0 runs in two matches. Was run out in 1st match and bowled out in 2nd match. Such a bad performance was not expected from him as the captaincy of the team. However, the brilliant performances of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shivam Dube both impressed everyone. Both of them are batting brilliantly which is really commendable. Afghanistan could not give the target enough runs in 2 matches. To win against India I think Afghanistan will have to target 190+ runs. But Afghanistan put up a good effort against strong India. Everyone does. If he doesn't make into T20wc squad, Indian population will riot, and I'm not saying this in exaggerated sense.

The pitch is very flat and not everyone will get lucky to get wicket on a track like this, but he has skills which he proved in the test match against AFG so there won't be any harm if he go wicketless. And that is why Axar is excellent to concede 17 runs on a pitch like that.

Kohli will play and Rohit too, no matter what unless they are not willing to for their own reasons. Rohit desperately wanted some run on his back but no worries the big tournament is waiting where he can show all his destructiveness.

If we are talking about t20wc squad here, these two still have high chances to make it cause selectors are likely to go for experienced players over new players. No matter how good new players may be, most fumble in big tourneys.

I really think if Afghanistan actually had Rashid Khan the result could have been different. They might have a chance at the ICC T20I World Cup by looking at their performance in recent T20Is. I think the T20 is a different format, and each team has a chance of winning because a single player can turn the game in their team's favour. Other teams are also looking good and preparing well, so it is difficult to predict the outcome of the T20I World Cup.

There is fierce competition between Jaiswal and Gill for the opening slot. I am confident about these two making it into the team, but I am unsure whether they will be part of the playing squad. Rinku should be part of the team down the order and I am now unsure whether Hardik Pandya would be part of the team if Shivam Dubey continues to play in the same manner. The best way to evaluate these two would be IPL and considering the long period in which the IPL would be played the selectors would be able to evaluate correctly and find the right guy suited at that position. I somehow feel that Rohit Sharma would be the captain of the team playing in the T20 World Cup.
