In IPL we often see Afghanistan players performing well. However, the performance of Afghanistan players in the last series against UAE was somewhat erratic. And against India too if the performance of Afghanistan players is erratic, then victory against India is impossible. In this series, the Indian team is undoubtedly considered as the favorite. Even so, the match is likely to be competitive.

Afghanistan played well but I don't think they can beat India because India player paly very well and they has made 85 runs in 10 overs with lose of 3 wickets.India need 69 runs from 54 balls. I hope that India will achieve this target peacefully. S dube  now is batting they continue their inning and he made 33 run in just 25 balls and J Sharma is  playing with them .J Sharma is also playing very well and has also scored 26 runs in 14 balls . I hope India will win this match .

India came back pretty good after the initial fumble, Rohit really disappointed with the way he got out.

Now India just needs 14 runs from 22 balls and 6 wickets in hand, so yeah the match is pretty much over now and AFG can take their positives from this match and try to give a comeback in the second match to keep the series alive.

If Rashid played today, then things could have been different in my opinion.

Afghanistan were able to put pressure on India early on as they managed to run out the wicket of Rohit Sharma. A target of 159 runs is not bad at all as Afghanistan's bowling line is quite stronger than India's as if Afghanistan's spinners especially Mujeeb ur Rahman and Mohammad Nabi can bowl controlled and fall four or 5 wickets before 50 then Afghanistan will have a chance to win.

It's quite a decent target from Afghanistan side. The opening pair of Afghanistan gave a good start of 50 but they both were out in quick succession. Nabi with his 3 sixes and 2 fours scored 42 runs. Right now India need 113 runs in 81 balls and that won't be a big task as there is plenty of batting still to come. Rohit Sharma was unlucky today, he was run out without scoring any run but still India in comfortable position.

India had a clinical performance both with bat and ball. The bowlers managed to restrict Afghanistan to a short score, although Afghanistan were 101 runs from the last 10 overs to reach 158/5. Chasing a target of 159 runs, Rohit Sharma was run out in the first over. Heat won the toss and batted first. Slow start, lost quick wickets however Neser and Billings got Heat back on track with brilliant 6th wicket partnership of 80 runs. India vs Afghanistan 3rd T20I series 1st match today India achieved a remarkable feat. In the first innings, Afghanistan came down to bat and collected 158 runs, losing 5 wickets, in 20 overs. In today's match I think Afghanistan managed to put up a good batting performance, but they did not put up a good bowling performance in the second innings. If the bowling performance of Afghanistan could have been good against India then surely India would have had a chance to win the match if they could have put India under pressure. However, as India put in a good batting performance which resulted in an impressive 6-wicket win in the first match of the series. India's batsman Shivam Dube has done an outstanding performance, he remains unbeaten with 60 runs off 40 balls. If Afghanistan could have got Shivam Dube out today it would have been very difficult for India to win but it was not possible due to which India won easily. Looking at the Indian squad and the Afghanistan squad, it is easy to predict who will win. Afghanistan is a small team but no team can consider them an easy opponent as they have a good record in T20 cricket. But in this series, one of the best bowlers of Afghanistan, Rashid Khan, is absent, due to which the team may not have the full strength. Afghanistan's rapid improvement in cricket was mainly due to their bowling performance. Without Rashid Khan behind him, I do not expect them to win any match against the Indian team. Even with Rashid Khan, it is not that they can win the match. But they would have had little chance because in cricket there is a word "uncertainty". Rohit Sharma did not play in the first match but still India won the match. I think If the top-order batsmen are not scoring, the middle-order batsmen have the ability to win with their performances.

Indian batting is very strong and even though few senior players were rested and team wants to try things for one last time before the T20 WC they did good job with both batting and bowling. Most players won't find a slot in this wc squad to be honest but in case if there is some injury then others might be considered where these performances will come into play.

After injuries of Surya Kumar and Hardick Pandya selectors call Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli which is not wise decision because today after watching performance of the youngsters, I have feeling they need to bring them on front instead of calling these two veterans because today we have impressive performance from these all youths and as they perform most chances, we will have no chance for the Afghanistan in next matches as well.

Between these two countries quality difference is clear India clearly leading all three formats and Afghanistan having 10th spot mean things need to be more which is not possible for these Afghanis specially while they are playing in India.

India need to take Afghanistan seriously, they are capable of giving surprises.
