A close play off eliminator for MI women and RCB women in the WPL. The two teams were equally good throughout the tournament and their elimination match turned out to be exciting till the last ball. RCB batting first created a medium target of 136 for MI team. As always, Ellyse Perry leading the run scoring for RCB, 66 on her board. All other batswomen performed poor from RCB. MI was supposed to achieve the target with ease.

At the end of 17th over, they needed just 20 runs from 18 balls with 7 wickets remaining. Which is an easy win scenario in a T20. But the susequent bowling of Shreyanka Patil and Sophie Molineux, they lost three wickets on those 18 balls and made only 14 runs.
A deserving win for RCB specially for Ellyse Perry.

What the heck? How could MI lose the game, throughout it looked like they will win the game easy and in the end they fucked up so bad. Although, I'm happy for RCB, this was such a bad play from MI, and I'm not sure what exactly was bad play either.

Yes AirtelBuzz buddy I watched out all previous competition matches which was finished among these squads Ireland and Afghanistan sqaud and both these squads fight in different campaigns Test and ODI competitions and these matches was quite interesting. Both squads displayed equally performance. Now, T20 competition has begun among these sqauds and first match is ongoing on crease and Ireland squad has completed their first batting and collected target is 149 scores which seem a normal defeating target. Harry Tector you mentioned batter in your post only this batter displayed impressive performance and achieved highest scores. Now let's see Afghanistan squad will defeat this target or not.

Congratulations Islamabad United team for this brilliant win in 1 st Eliminator game and I disappointed the effort of Quetta Gladiator team which was showed in this game and they was failed to chase down big runs target. Islamabad United team set 179 runs target in 20 overs by losing 9 wickets. I.Wasim won a player of game award because his bowling effort was outstanding and he took down 3 wickets in 4 overs with 12 runs. N.Shah also took down 2 wickets with 33 runs in 4 overs. Quetta Gladiator team only chased 135 runs entire team was dismantled and only 9 balls left. O.Yousaf performed well and he scored 50 runs in 37 balls with four 4s and one 6s. From Islamabad United batting lineup side, opener batsman M.Guptil scored 56 runs in 47 runs and I believe Islamabad United team showed same effort in upcoming games like in 2 nd eliminator game.

Afghanistan's two opening batsmen Sediqullah Atal and Rahmanullah Gurbaz were dismissed for 1 and 0 respectively.

Ireland won because of a great performance by Ireland's bowlers. Joshua Little, Barry McCarthy, Benjamin White all bowled brilliantly. Ireland's bowlers are truly admirable. Ireland won the first match to take a 1-0 lead in the series.

Still i feel Wonder how Ireland won the match against one of the strongest team like Afghanistan choose the Bowl first and Ireland started batting with good start. Top order make decent runs, and Harry Tector was in his forum who made 56 runs from balls. Ireland total collection was 149-6 runs only. But who knows, Afghanistan would keep losing their wickets , they lost 3 wickets for 4 runs. And they have dinner the same poor performance in the whole match and all out in 111 runs. Anyway congratulations to Islamabad United for this victory now they has to face baber Azam team Peshawar zalmi in order to face Multan in finals, but in my view Peshawar will beat them and will end thier journey at that stage.

Yes you are right I agree that it was a disappointing performance from Quetta in their last match of PSL 9. It is always tough to see a team with so much potential not live up to expectations. The performance of Afghanistan's batsmen was very poor. Other than Ishaq and Nabi, no other batsmen can do better. Experienced batsmen like Gurbaz and Zadran also performed poorly. Rashid Khan could not perform well after returning to the squad after a long time.
Ben White and Josh Little bowled well today. White took 4 and Little 3 wickets. Ireland's overall performance was very good. But I doubt if Ireland will win the series even if they win the first match.

Islamabad United's batting order is relatively weak. And the performance of their batsmen is very erratic. But the performance of their bowlers is very good. And after Islamabad United set a target of 175 runs in this match I was sure that United team will win today.
Earlier, Islamabad United had set a small target of 139 runs against Quetta Gladiators. Although the target was small, the match was very competitive.

Every batsman in Islamabad United's top order batted well. Guptil managed to collect 56 runs and Agha salman 31 runs. Also the batting of Hales, Sadab Khan and Azam was quite good. On the other hand, no other batsman can do well except Omair Yousuf and Akeal Hosein of Quetta Gladiators squad. Quetta Gladiators were defeated by a margin of 39 runs.

Today is the first T20 match between Ireland and Afghanistan which will not be a one-sided match for Afghanistan as we are thinking because before the series on tour match, the Afghanistan team lost the match where the match was a tour test Match and there they can still draw the match but their team is too bad and they were all out on 155 runs while Ireland team won that match in a very good way and easily.

The match is in progress.  Afghanistan won the toss and decided to bowl first.  Afghanistan's decision to bowl first could make or break their win. Ireland have scored 66 now in 11 overs . Afghanistan team bowlers playing very well they have taken five wickets of  Ireland so far which is why Ireland's best men are still under full pressure.  There is no hope that the Island team will be able to score more than a hundred runs.

Afghanistan however wanted to play to the target and earn a brilliant win for Ireland. But their dream was not fulfilled but unfortunately Ireland team won by 34 runs and Afghanistan team lost. Although the Ireland team played very poorly at the start due to which they did not score much in the first overs, it looked like they would be all out soon but later on they held the game and scored 149 runs. Although the target of 150 runs was not much for Afghanistan, they lost due to poor batting performance of Afghanistan later on. The Afghans lost all their wickets for just 111 runs which led to their loss, but the bowling performance of the Ireland team was excellent especially Ben White taking 4 wickets. However, as this match has been an exciting game between Ireland and Afghanistan, Afghanistan will have to perform better in the next match to win.

I know it's futile but atmosphere would have been majestic had yesterday's match were held in Bangalore, it's shame we won't see final there either, I'm sure there will be good fan support from both sides in Delhi but it can't replicate the chinnaswamy atmosphere.
