Bounty hunters can if they can get themselves acquainted with knowledge and the technical know how of the cryptocurrency industry. But many are after the quick profits they see their peers make instead of learning the rudimentary fundamentals of cryptocurrency. That is why most end up promoting scam projects because actually they can't really tell right from wrong. The onus lies on the large Bitcointalk community to continue educating its members and instilling knowledge necessary for a better crypto behaviour and judgement

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

The actual question is that who should we entrust that first cut/payment to? Blockchain was built to enhance digital trust system but it seems majority of the early adopters can't be trusted and they keep on "screwing" us over with scams and fraud.

Bounty hunters can both promote the project and stop the progress.  If everyone gathers together and starts anti-advertising on social networks, then of course the project will lose its reputation and no investors will invest in the company.  In fact, there have already been such moments.

wow this best idea using escrow to bounty but 1st need to ico collect money  to distribution  bounty  payment i can not understand its can be practical
Most of the bounty have adopt the use of escrow and I can still understand that, some good managers always does that too. Recently I participated in some Tron project and was offered to be paid with Tron and the Tron was escrowed for transparency and accountability. Although kudos to forum market place for ensuring the legality of a must escrow funds in a projects.

While this sounds very nice on paper, you have to bear in mind that most of these projects organise bounty campaigns when their tokens have no value in the market yet, this means that they are probably organising it without any cost to them, if they had such funds, most of them would have found other alternatives to promote their project, bounty hunters are not the only one affected, the people worse hit by scam projects are it's investors and they have no such assurance.

So even good projects carry out bounty campaigns and promise their tokens in rewards, which are not yet traded on exchanges and do not even know the exact dates when these coins will be traded.
And there are a very small number of campaigns where already traded coins are offered as rewards.

Oh my god. That's quite a huge loss. The opportunity to hold an asset worth $60000 and a potential to do x10 in few years to come. Anyway my biggest regret is missing the opportunity to work for EOS which I passed onto a friend and today he's still with the company and quite rich. Would have been me Wink

I don't think it needs a separate question to get feeling from others for the scam projects. Its absolute no. But how can we find it in first instance when the project it scam.
There's a guide how to find it like follow this thread instruction and you'll see it's scam or not. but my way is different, I only promote selected projects run by trusted managers. That's the way I avoid a scam project.

I dont think any bounty hunter will willingly promote a scam project even for personal gain. However most Project are very good at concealing their real aim and that makes it exceptionally hard to acknowledge.
I don't have the foggiest idea why, even somebody will blame this on bounty hunters. The major problem lies with the fact that the cryptocurrency market is still largely unregulated.
However, there are still bounties that pay with coins that are as of now listed on exchange

how to stop the scam project because at the beginning of the launch the project developer gives sweet promises and huge prizes that make people interested in promoting it. then after that they disappeared after getting a lot of money from investors. being a bounty hunter is really hard because their hard work is only paid for by fraud. I was very sad to see that. Undecided

I think it can only be applied if the project developer is a professional, most of the crypto teams are amateurs and scamers maybe they won't agree.
but, this is a good suggestion, it would be better if we had a discussion with the moderator to apply the rules.

Most of the bounty hunters do not get payment despite their hard working and some gets a little with shit token. Can we prevent it? Just an idea.

What if we everybody stop to promote a project which offers only token?
For launching a project, the project owner or developer should have some money to promote the project. Say for example- they have to escrow a minimum of 40% of the bounty allocation in term of usd or btc. Only then we can prevent scam ico and bounty hunter will get their money. Can we start following this rule?

This is a good suggestion but to put this into reality there must be a strict body of regulations to implement it to force new project to produce a quality one and prevent failure of their project. We can't blame bounty hunters that keeps participating on bounties, from my own experience 2018 - 2019 doesn't give much profit on bounties.

I agree with your suggestion, so at least the fraud project can be reduced but I doubt whether it will be approved by many parties including moderators to anticipate the fraud project in this forum. it looks like they don't have full control with that, and I think the most important rules for project developers.

To refuse to promote fraudulent projects, it is enough to make one strong-willed decision: you need to participate in bounty campaigns where they offer rewards not in project tokens, but in bitcoins or ethereum and rewards are paid every week. Fraud projects cannot afford to do this. That is why if no one will promote them, then they themselves will die.

I was joined a lot of project's bounty but I have to get paid only from few projects due to most of them were scams and only one project was paid me BTC also with their tokens but every project can only offer tokens and they don't want to share their revenue from the token sale. So this is not possible to get paid in USDT or BTC for bounty hunters because all projects want to collect funds for their revenue.

Promotion is not only through bounty campaigns. Good new projects always advertise the sale of tokens on well-known websites like coinmarketcap. Now bounty hunters can promote projects that sell through IEO rather than projects that are still doing ICO.

But bounty hunters is not going to stop from joining bounties, the steps needs o be taken from the forum side to make it happen and already many people suggested theymos to have the signature campaigns in this forum which pays in the bitcoin or in already listed coins,so we need to see what is the decision by theymos on this case.

Most bounties in this case allows higher ranking forum members to join. starting from accounts with Members position in the forum. it allows an opportunity for the rich to get richer while the low and New accounts are not allowed to Join.

There is a urgent need to prevent scam projects conducting bounties on this platform. the admins should Please do something about it. As they focus more on scam accounts, they should work toward promoting good projects.

You know why most of the bounty hunters do not get payment despite of their hard working. It is because majority of the bounty hunters don't know how to choose to right one project whether IEO, ICO, and STO. They're not searching or checking it well if the projects are good or not. That's why most of the scam projects have the guts to continue to scam the investors and hunters too. This is the reality what I had observed every time I'm searching for a good bounty project.

yes, that's some reason why they don't pay bounty hunters or pay small amounts. sometimes, the team of a project stops selling for a reason, or because the soft cap isn't reached. however, it is very difficult for us to avoid this if we support a project.

however, research on concepts, team experiences, and other things is very important to avoid this. even more so if it is IEO who sells quite well in exchangers.

but, whatever the outcome, it is a risk to become a bounty hunter. so, with such a thing, be a good bounty hunter who chooses and supports a project.
