Promotion of scam projects can never stop in the crypto ecosystem and space. There are a lot of people in the crypto space that will do anything for any small amount of dollars paid in trading cryptocurrency. The only way scam projects can be somehow eliminated for the crypto space, is when moderators on this forum decide to introduce strong rules regarding the kind of projects launched on this platform and validate the authenticity of the project before allowing the promotion of the projects here on the forum. Without proper validation of any project that wants to launch on the forum, promoting scam projects will never stop.

when there are rules about legitimate projects and it is possible to enter into this forum an experiment and an introduction may be possible beforehand, but in my opinion it is difficult because of the limited distance. one way not to get caught up in a fraudulent project we must be able to understand how to determine a legitimate project. so equip yourself before promoting a new project, although sometimes we still have the potential to be fooled by fraudulent projects

I wish that there is a way to stop the scam promotion, but the most important things is how to detect a scam project and avoid it. Another problem is that some hunters don't even care to make any research, they just jump into anything they see

The problem is how to be sure right away and from the beginning that a project is scam. There are some general indications, but you won't be sure...

before investing in a new ico we need to do our own research if the team is valid, if it have experience in the sector, if the project is valid and has the possibility of development in the future, its rating on the various rating sites, certainly some projects that will promise the doubling of the invested capital in a few days are definitely scams, it is understood from the beginning therefore they should not be advertised in any way through the bounty but reported immediately...

in fact the idea had already appeared in the middle of 2018 ago, when ico was felt to be running bad. many of which suggest payment should use etherum instead, instead of using tokens that remain under etherum as smart contracts. but there are a number of reasons why the project team continues to insist on using their own tokens, namely they want to have their own tokens as a symbol of their team's identity, and if success and value go up in the market, they will be proud. if you use etherum, it's just the same as they just develop a project and pay for it using etherum regardless of what tokens they will make for their own projects.

but if it continues like this, indeed payments using usd, btc or etherum are indeed a shortcut for bounty hunters to get their justice.

I always believe that there will be no scammers if there are people who will be vigilant with what they will do, who will be just very cautious then we can eliminate scam projects and it will be very hard for them to raised fund. So for me, we should just always give a benefit of the doubt to every project, let's investigate them thorough as if we are police or the SEC officer trying to check if we can give them right to operate or permit.

As you can see more and more new projects did not make announcement tread at bitcointalk anymore. They more active at telegram then bitcointalk.When i see this i always stay away from this projects cause we cannot make some arguement about the project freely at bitcointalk. At telegram they can kick us anytime for any reason they dont like.

Hardly imagine that people would start checking the projects before investing in them. It is much easier to invest in every single project that goes live, instead of carefully checking and doing the right investment decision.

No I do not think that now investors invest in projects without any research of the projects. They do a complete search about the team members and their roadmap and the potential of the aim of their project. It is only the bounty hunters and the marketers who start to promote each and every project without any research for getting some coins or some money. If these promoters will also do their research before doing promotion for the projects and do not promote the scam projects then it will give a great support to the crypto community.

We bounty hunters all want this to happen and it is fair to us. We don't want to have to work hard and promote scams, and we don't get anything back. So let's check the projects carefully and those projects will have scam warnings by some people flagging them. I hope that bounty hunters like us all raise awareness and be more active in understanding the project. Read the whitepaper, learn about the team and some partners, roadmaps and ideas, ... that's what we need to dig into before bounty campaign.

i know this thread was made long time ago before ieo even exists and most of the bounty is actually paying now, although the reward is less rewarding than we have ever used to be now, however we can't avoid that scammer since it looks promising at the beginning yet we don't know what would happen next.

   It's better to say that we would not like to promote scam projects in the first place. Promoters suffer from scam projects, investors
lose money, promoters lose credibility and time. Both are bad, what is worst depends on situation.
   Research should be deep, but not everyone knows to do a deep research. I don't know how to do that, I relay on some experts in
crypto-community, but even they make mistakes like everyone else.

Rightfully said mate, project owners are using bounty hunters in a very terrible way and it has got to stop. We as hunters should learn to stick together and to say NO to projects that are only out to enrich themselves without a care in the world for the hunters who worked ceaselessly everyday to promote their projects.

Just think as more critical without money or escrow. This process much stronger than we think even for legit project. Like this KYC process is mandatory, real work should update in social and previous work of team members.

Strongly agree with what you say, that this has often happened and we cannot avoid this fact. even though we have been as thorough as possible to select from all aspects (Team, Whitepaper, etc.) still that guarantee cannot be realized easily. is there any protection for every project that must be managed by a minimumount manager must be a full member or above? so that it can be sanctioned later.

This is a really good idea in our side, many bounty hunters will be happy to go back and do this job again. But the problem is do you think the team will approve this kind of proposal? They hardly raised enough for the fundraising then they will do something like this? I think this is not worth it on their side to risk and get some fiat allocations for bounty campaigns.

You can choose a Bounty that promises you to pay using BTC or ETH and other top altcoins and make sure the bounty is managed by a trusted manager.
Currently there are many IEOs and project developers registering their tokens or coins on the exchange, you can visit new exchanges such as Tokpie, they have a bounty program with a payment method for coins and stake which is valued in USDT and Ethereum

It's a good idea if the rules you mentioned are carried out by all bounty projects, so that no prize hunters complain about getting a small fee, and they must work energetically vigorously because they know how much they will receive
